I'm not, just saying that it's not really insulting in the same way as the dancing Russians. Similarly the Swedish Tingeling Russian parody isn't really insulting to Russia either.

It will be interesting to see but right now Kuznetsov strikes me as an afinogenov type player. Skilled but lacking finish/consistency..

Kusnetsov is quite simply a world class finisher. Ever watch the KHL?

He lacks consistency for sure.

What Kuznetsov doesn't lack is clutch play. He is one of the most clutch players in the history of the WJHC.
His medal round and elimination game play is already legendary.

My dad used to be a fan of Sport or what it was called in the 70's... definately my second fav team in Finland after Jokerit. Respect for the Vaasa fanbase!

In my opinion it goes both ways, doesn't seem to be a problem with european and swedish players on american teams - but it feels like there's some tension talking about european players on Canadian ones since they ain't highly regarded.

You mean in the NHL? I don't agree at all, there have been a lot of talented/popular European and Swedish players on Canadian teams, both past and present.
