First off, let me say I like this part of the board. Thanks for those who help :)

Can anyone show me some video or photos of the stretching needed to play the butterfly style? I am almost asking for the shortcut to that one position (the down position) for the goaltender.

I have tried to get my feet out but they are not moving out an inch :)

The hips are the target area for stretching. there are also some mechanics involced that are a must to get any kind of real width. bear in mind that extreme width is not a requirement for bfly use. The wider your fly becomes, the more risky it gets. Being ran into while very wide can put you over backwards leading to some serious injury risks.

you need to keep a well rounded stretch routine as well as some added attention to the hip and groin stretching.
