I definitely second heatley_wanted's idea of contraction draft. It would breathe some life into this draft for the teams who are still in it.

Montreal is still in, waiting to make it's 11th pick, 166th overall.

How would we decide the order for the contraction draft?

same as a regular draft i will just put 8 teams in a hat and draw em out, first name = first pick then snake order it til noone wants any more of them. after those players are gone we can go back to the regular draft order.

you keep all original players selected until noone with space left on the roster wants any of the left over players. after all roster spots are filled you can switch 2 players but it will go in this draft order
