Maybe, but he's also turning 28 next week, while Oettinger won't be 25 until December

As good as Saros is, the choice is relatively easy. It's Oettinger. Both are very good goalies but Otter is on a contending team (for years to come) where Saros is on a not so good team.

Oettenger also have very little competition for his job. While Saros will have Askarov stealing starts eventually.

Oettinger. Nashville as you said in a rebuild/retool. Then see if you can draft Saros as soon as possible as a backup

And this matters why?

Because you want younger keepers. Players tend to regress as they hit their 30's.

I would 100 % go with Oettinger.
