If we can't, I'll use the actual roster, if we do so, do we have the off season movements or Hall is with Arizona, Toffoli with VAN,etc

Throughout my Wild franchise, I noticed that relatively few of my draft picks were contributing to my NHL roster. So then I thought "what if I could only have my draft picks on my NHL roster?"

My plan is this: I'm going to start an expansion team, trade all the players I get for draft picks, and only have my drafted players on my NHL team. I can sign low overall players to max contracts to hit the cap floor, but only players I select in the Entry Draft can ever suit up for my team.

I'm going to use the default rosters so I have the 2020 draft class, and not a bunch of randoms. First post will be either later today or tomorrow.

THE PORTLAND LUMBERJACKS: AN EXPERIMENT IN HOMEGROWN TALENT

The NHL announced today that its 32nd franchise will be the Portland Lumberjacks, who will play in the Pacific Division. Arizona will move to the Central. Portland will play their home games at Moda Center, which they will share with the NBA's Portland Trailblazers. Their AHL affiliate will be the Sacramento Thunder. Portland's general manager, regulahbread, has announced that the club will take an unconventional approach to building his roster, which after the Expansion Draft, will also include the #1 overall pick in the NHL Entry Draft.

But they'll also learn to lean on and trust each other as they mature and grow in this league.
