I think that both teams are Playoff capable and Could even make it past the 1st round. I could even see the Oilers hitting the SCF with their top 9 and top 4.

Same, But let's allow UFA signings prior to UFA. Les high end UFA's will create less work for agents and GM's.

This is my first game but i do not like FA system. I would like to know exact system how it works because i made bet on Edler, my bet was only one and sudenly Edler signs with another team. I made bet on Hayes and it wasnt even considered. I made bet on Panarin, agent told me that ma bet is best and Panarin sings with anither team.

Agreed on this. I wanted to give it a shot because I thought it would make the UFA period more interesting... It did not. Does everyone want to keep the expansion draft though? I liked that it brought and additional aspect to the game.

Might be too tight to the actual trade deadline to sneak in expansion, simpler might be better in this case. I'm fine with anything as long as the game ends prior to the deadline though.

Playoffs - Feb 18
Expansion - Feb 19
Draft - Feb 20
UFA - Feb 21-23

I think it’s doable and around ten days is perfect for a GM game. Keeps people active and interested.

Actually, what would be better is doing the expansion draft first thing so the team that gets the team can play through the whole game... Thoughts?

Either way the next thread is up send me a couple teams you’re interested and I’ll gauge interest in the expansion team.

I think the problem with that is that teams wouldn't be able to protect all their guys. Maybe like a day or 2 into the trading period or something like that.

True it might make for a more competitive roster though and the GM of Seattle could still make deals?

Let's save expansion for the offseason games. It can be the first thing done before trading.
