Extremely excited to add a goaltender of Jonathan's ability. We feel like this move will show the league the Flyers are for real and ready to compete in a tough Metro division. Hopefully Free Agents take note and we can add a couple more high end pieces before the game ends. Was very difficult to part with Morgan Frost, but with the addition of Veleno and Couturier/Patrick already up the middle we felt it was worth the loss. Our goal his year was to build a team that will compete for the playoffs, we feel we have done that quite well. We feel that Subban was not a downgrade from Karlsson as both are Norris Calibre Dmen, but adding Chychrun definitely helped our top 4. Orpik will help calm the nerves of our young guys as a 2 time cup champions. Johanson is a big upgrade on Duchene and Bonino is a solid 3c. Drafting Tkachuk gave us our 2c and Burakovsky and Hartman will both show well with more offensive play. Lastly, our addition of Grubauer added some much needed improvement in net and will hlp us move on from Anderson when his contract is over, giving future goalies a chance to develop properly. Max Domi is a great offensive threat, and with Johansen will take another step offensively.
