[/fieldset]
[fieldset=""]
Game Schedule

  • Trade Deadline: Sunday 1/15 7:00 PM
  • Standings Voting: Sunday 1/15 7:00 PM - Monday 1/16 3:00 PM
  • Quarterfinal Voting: Monday 1/16 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Semifinal Voting: Monday 1/16 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Conference Final Voting: Monday 1/16 8:30 PM - 11:00 PM
  • Stanley Cup Final Voting: Monday 1/16 11:00 PM - Tuesday 1/17 4:00 PM
  • Entry Draft: TBA
  • Free Agency Begins: TBA
*All times ET, and subject to change.
[/fieldset]
[fieldset=""]
Salary Cap

  • The salary cap maximum from the trade deadline to the entry draft is $64.3M.
  • The salary cap minimum from the trade deadline to the entry draft is $48.3M.
  • To find out a player’s pro-rated cap hit, use CapGeek’s Daily Tracker on the date Feb. 28. 2012.
  • When you trade a player away, use the “To Date” salary on the date Feb. 28. 2012.
  • When you acquire a player, use the “Remaining” salary on the date Feb. 28. 2012.
  • All bonuses count against the cap number. The team acquiring a player is responsible for all bonuses.
  • Teams may have a roster of as many players as they wish during the playoffs, given that they comply with the salary cap.
  • An injured player that is expected to return by the trade deadline may be used on your roster.
  • ENTRY LEVEL CONTRACT CHART
  • The salary cap for the 2012-2013 season will be $67M, and the salary floor will be $51M.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players by the end of the game.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Waivers/Buyouts
  • Post in this thread if you’d like to place a player on waivers.
  • Each team has the option of sending ONE player to the minors or Europe due to cap reasons.
  • Each team has the option of buying out ONE contract during the Entry Draft and Free Agency periods.
  • The lowest team in the standings in real life at the time of a waive gets highest waiver priority.
  • A player will be on waivers for 24 hours after the player was waived.
  • If a team claims a player off of waivers, they then have the lowest waiver priority.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Trades
  • All trades must be sent to IslesRock4 and RR or else they are not valid.
  • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
  • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
  • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. Washington will not trade Ovechkin, Pittsburgh will not trade Crosby, etc. The commissioners hold the power to veto any ridiculous trades.
  • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH trade managers prior to posting. Keep in mind it will only be on a rare occasion that a NTC or NMC is waived.
  • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
  • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.

Lots of loose ends to tie up, but I wanted to get the thread up. PM me if you can help with RFAs/UFAs.

You may start talking and sending in trades. Make sure you read all the rules as a refresher.

Looking to acquire some first line forwards, and top 4 Dmen. I have a great prospect pool to choose from, and draft picks can be used as well. To get Schwartz or Tarasenko, I must be receiving a top end player, and Tarasenko would be the harder to get of the two.

Trade Block:
Halak
Arnott
D'Agostini
Russell
Stewart
Picks
Prospects

Also, I'm looking to build off the blues great first half and win, so I'm looking for upgrades!

DEFENSEMEN :
Andrei Markov (Modified NTC)
*Markov is a top pairing defenseman who could be an interesting gamble considering that I’m not asking full price because of his injury history. Of course, I’m not giving him away either.
Tomas Kaberle
*Kaberle has been very good in his role since he is with the team. If you are looking for a top pairing defenseman, he is not the right guy. However, if you are looking for a top 4 defenseman who can also help your PP, he may be an interesting option.
Chris Campoli
*Campoli can be a solid depth defenseman and won’t cost much to acquire.
Yannick Weber
*Weber might stay with the team considering hi age and potential but we are listening to offers.

FORWARDS :
Scott Gomez (LNTC)
*Gomez isn’t in the plans of the team anymore. You can get him for another salary dump but I will not add to get rid of his salary.
Mathieu Darche
*Darche would not cost much to acquire.
Petteri Nokelainen
*Nokelainen would not cost much to acquire.

The only real untouchable is Carey Price but obviously, I’m not looking to trade other young players unless it makes sense.

I’m looking to acquire young players, prospects and picks. QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

PM!

Wojtek Wolski is on the block. Looking for a NHL player in return, open to trade him for a UFA rental.

Not against trading some good prospect (Erixon, McIlrath, Zuccarello, Kreider, Miller and Thomas) in return of proven players if the right deal is offered.

PM with offers

Looking for 2nd pairing defensemen. I'm going to make a Cup run and I need to shore up the defense. I'm also going to try extremely hard to extend Weber and Suter, so don't ask me for them in trades.

Interest in Markov and Moen so far. Nothing imminent but Moen could be the next player traded.

In another news, three players have already been traded and an announcement will come later.

Bobby Ryan is available, but he won't come cheap. Looking for a similarly valued forward, preferably center, or defenseman or an overpayment in picks/prospects.

I'll listen to offers for Getzlaf, but I highly doubt he'll be moved.

Francois Beauchemin and Toni Lydman could be moved, as could Lubo Visnovsky although I would need a big overpayment in order to move Lubo. Either a young forward or defenseman ready to step up or a great package of picks/prospects.

Nik Hagman and Jason Blake are both readily available and won't cost an arm and a leg.

Teemu Selanne and Saku Koivu could be moved, but keep in mind both have NMC so they'd have to agree to waive.

Andrei+Kostitsyn+Tomas+Plekanec+Los+Angeles+DZcIayUEGREl.jpg

The Nashville Predators have made a blockbuster trade with the Montreal Canadiens. The Predators have acquired Tomas Plekanec, Andrei Kostitsyn, and a 3rd round draft pick in 2012 in exchange for the rights to Alexander Radulov, Blake Geoffrion, Matt Halischuk, Charles Olivier Roussel, and a 1st round draft pick in 2012.

We're absolutely thrilled to add Tomas and Andrei (Sergei's brother) to our roster. We looked hard to find a #1 center and we believe Plekanec fits the criteria perfectly. He also will be playing with fellow countryman Martin Erat, and we believe there will be a lot of chemistry on our new first line. We're also happy to add Andrei's offense. This is the type of trade that can win us a Stanley Cup, and we can't be happier. We'd like to thank Matt and Blake for all their hard work, and wish them as well as Alexander and CO a lot of luck in Montreal.

Remember that problem Nashville used to have with offense? Not anymore.

Current Line Up
A.Kostitsyn-Plekanec-Erat
S.Kostitsyn-Fisher-Hornqvist
Wilson-Legwand-Smith
Spaling-Smithson-Tootoo

Suter-Weber
Josi-Klein
Hillen-Bouillon

Rinne
Lindback

We're still looking to add at least two more defenseman to our lineup.
