FA Agents
East Forwards - @OB5
West Forwards - @AveryStar4Eva
Defensemen - @SJSharks39
Goaltenders - @stempniaksen
Ryan Miller, Matt Duchene, and Erik Karlsson - @Joel Ward

Players can begin signing as of noon December 5th.

A reminder that Free Agents traded during the game will remain in their original conferences for the sake of FA. Duchene and Stone, for example, remain East Forwards despite being traded to Nashville.

Following a disappointing playoff exit, while attempting to defend their championship title, the Washington Capitals bolstered their forward core on the first day of Free Agency, adding veteran forward Joe Pavelski on a two year, $10 million deal. The Capitals also re-upped with a number of RFAs including wingers Andre Burakovsky, Jakub Vrana, Chandler Stephenson, and Dmitri Jaskin.

"We're excited to add Joe to the group. He brings incredible leadership, two-way play, and versatility to one of the best lineups in the league. Going into the offseason adding some veteran leadership was a priority for us with the departure of Brooks Orpik. Joe will add that and more, slotting onto our top line with Alex and Evgeny and providing us with critical minutes in both special teams departments."

After days of negotiations, the Florida Panthers came to terms with a pair of Russian free agents, inking Sergei Bobrovsky and Artemi Panarin to longterm deals. The Panthers poached the ex-Blue Jackets duo with six and seven-year deals, that will see them earn $6.5 and $10.75 million per year, respectively.

"Elated to add two of the best players in the league at their respective positions to an already very strong core group. After a disappointing season, Panthers fans now have much to look forward to. Artemi will join former international and KHL linemate Evgenii Dadonov in flanking Aleksander Barkov on our top line to form what we believe will be the most potent line in hockey. While Luongo and Reimer have been good soldiers for the organization, their struggles this past year highlighted our organizational need to upgrade in goal. We believe that with the addition of a two-time Vezina Trophy winner in Sergei, we have solidified that position for the foreseeable future."
