    READ THE RULES.

    And make sure you have your roster & cap info posted in the roster thread!

    [fieldset=""]Commissioners
    [/fieldset]
    [fieldset=""]
    Game Schedule

    • Trade Deadline: Tuesday 2/22 7 PM
    • Standings Votes: Tuesday 2/22 7 PM - Wednesday 2/23 1 PM
    • Quarterfinal Voting: Wednesday 2/23 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
    • Semifinal Voting: Wednesday 2/23 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
    • Conference Final Voting: Wednesday 2/23 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
    • Stanley Cup Final Voting: Wednesday 2/23 8:30 PM - 10:00 PM
    • Entry Draft: Friday 2/25 7:00 PM
    • Free Agency Begins: Saturday 2/26 12:00 AM
      *All times EST, and subject to change
    [/fieldset]
    [fieldset=""]
    Salary Cap

    • The salary cap from the trade deadline until the end of the playoff voting is $59.4M.
    • Teams may have no more than a 23-man roster by the end of the game.
    • Any player that is currently injured but is expected to return by the time the trade deadline approaches may be used on your roster.
    • We will be using Daily Cap Hits from CapGeek to find our players pro-rated cap hits.
      1) When acquiring a player via trade, multiply the player's daily cap hit by 42 (the # of days remaining in the season at the trade deadline). This is what counts against your team's cap number.
      2) When trading a player away, multiply the player's daily cap hit by 144 (the # of days before the trade deadline). This is what counts against your team's cap number.
      3) It could get complicated for some, so PM a commissioner if you have any questions or if you need the calculations to be made for you.
    • The salary cap for the 2011-2012 season will be announced at a later date.
    [/fieldset]

    [fieldset=""]Waivers/Buyouts
    • Post in this thread if you'd like to place a player on waivers.
    • Each team has the option of sending down 1 player with a 1-way contract to the minors (or Europe) due to cap reasons and only 1 buyout will be allowed per team.
    • The lowest team in the standings in real life gets highest waiver wire priority.
    [/fieldset]

    [fieldset=""]Trades
    • All trades must be sent to IslesRock4 and RR or else they are not valid.
    • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
    • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
    • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. Washington will not trade Ovechkin, Pittsburgh will not trade Crosby, etc. The commissioners hold the power to veto any ridiculous trades.
    • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH trade managers prior to posting. Keep in mind it will only be on a rare occasion that a NTC or NMC is waived.
    • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
    • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.
    [/fieldset]

    [fieldset=""]Agents
    • IslesRock4 will be the agent for RFAs.
    • will be the pre-offseason agent for UFAs.
    [/fieldset]

    UFA NOTES:

    *Most Players WILL test the market. Deal with it. It's typically in their best interest (esp. for the high-end players) so it'll be a tough sell to ink them before July 1st. You've been warned.

    *Those that do sign early, will expect a premium for doing so. Hometown discounts may happen if it makes sense (see: Lidstrom), but generally you'll pay a little more for the security of getting your guy locked up early

    *A sales pitch will generally help your case. As will intangibles (NTC, NMCs, a high AHL salary if its a 2way offer, etc..). It's not all about the money...but it mostly is :sarcasm:

    Any trades that happened BEFORE THE ROSTER THREAD WAS POSTED is what counts. Mara/Ruutu etc does not count in this game.

    Atlanta wants to get conversations started. We are interested in young forwards, and solid point producers.

    Boston is looking to add a PMD and game changing top line forward, any picks (including the TOR 1st) and any prospects (including Tyler Seguin) are in play for an elite D-man or Winger. Holler back!

    Confirmed.

    Colby brought a lot of truculance to the team, but is a Burke player, not a T_Cage player. Sexton gives us speed in our bottom 6 at a fraction of the cost, as well as getting an exciting prospect in Deschamps.

    Available: Alexander Semin (for lesser top-six forward+ or #1 goaltender or top pairing defenseman), Seymon Varlamov (for #2 centre or in package for top pairing defenseman), Matt Bradley, John Erskine, 2011 picks, prospects (excluding Johansson, Kuz, Holtby)

    Not looking to move anyone else in particular.

    NEEDS:
    #1C
    Top 6 Power forward or Scorer (LW preferably)
    2/3 Goalie (a stopgap until Giggy/Monster/Rynnas heal. Looking to spend next to nothing on him..)
    AHL Goalie (see above)
    Picks/Prospects
    AHLers with upside

    Kaberle- Gonna field some offers. Looking for the best package of futures/young NHLers, but quality over wuantitiy is preferred

    Komi/Finger- Best offer take em. Some examples:
    *Free
    *Komi/Finger for a smaller cap dump
    *K/F + pick/prospect for a cheap 6/7 D
    *K/F for bigger cap dump + pick/prospect
    *Both for a cap dump (could add a future if need be)
    You get the idea.....

    Lebda- Not as much of a dump as the above 2, but looking to move him for dirt cheap

    Giguere/Gustavsson- One or both can go. Goos pick/prospect or 2 desired, Monster will be more expensive than Giggy (for him probably Pick + Young G with upside)

    ANY UFA- Not maling a playoff push, can move them for futures

    Greenop/Slaney/Hamilton- Minor league depth, willing ot swap for 'change of scenary'

    UPDATE: Have a couple teams kicking the tires on Komi. Time to start the NHL's most lacklustre bidding war! Don't delay

    Looking to add a Top 6 centre and a Defenseman. Untouchables are Lundqvist, Staal, Stepan, Callahan and Dubinsky.

    Will be shopping Drury and Frolov big time.

    Jason Arnott is on the table. Andy Greene is as well, but he would require a decent return since the Devils still see themselves in the playoff hunt.
