I wonder how many teams can complete their roster without going over the cap. Might be extremely easy to decide on a winner if only a few are within the cap.

It's shy on elite gamebreakers like a Draisaitl or Crosby, but it's got genuine depth. I've got $20.2m left for 7 players too, so I'm feeling good.

Every team will be able to fill. If they can't they will have to drop players and fill their roster with 1m dollar guys but will still complete it.

Only ones I'm aware of are Blinny + Scholarships (ARZ + VAN) - Vancouver might be good but I never saw who they cut to get cap compliant.

Propably should have bid a slightly higher on some of the guys earlier as now i have 12.1m left for 4LW, 2LD and a backup.

Only solution to this problem is dropping a player and retaining 50% of their cap hit towards your total cap.

ie) Drop a $9m player, keep $4.5m of their cap. This leave you at $5m in cap space with 5 spots to fill.

Or drop multiple cheaper players.

By my calculations some others are over the cap limit as well (or will be by the time they fill).

@BumDum - 6.6m left for 7 players...have to make a minor cap saving there by dumping someone.

@Blinny - 0.4m left for 7 players...may have to dump a couple bigger names.

Example for you: Drop Lindholm and Ekholm (18m in cap). Gives you an additional 9m in cap space (9.4m total) to fill your 9 roster spots.

So yeah will have to drop at least 2 players / 17.2m to make it work.
