I mean Steel is a full year behind development wise, the comparison to be made is essentially Steel now vs Terry a year ago. Way too early to call anything there.

That should be mostly expected, I think. He hasn't even practiced with the team yet, there's gonna be some adjustment period of sorts.

I'm not sure what Welinski does, but I don't think I'd miss it.

With the amount of deck shuffling they’ve done up front, it’s utterly incomprehensible to me how little rotation they’ve done on the back end. They’ve run basically the same 3-4 guys on the bottom pairing all season, despite Shattenkirk, Larsson, Hutton, Welinski being mostly ineffective (Mahura was OK)

Would be very difficult to paraphrase, but he is verbose in a way that is introspective and respectful of the questions he's asked. Very well spoken and genuine. Can also tell he thinks too much.

There's probably a character limit that I'd hit if I even tried to type it out. It was long winded and highly informative and detailed. Not the normal "ugh gotta talk to broadcaster lets end this asap" but instead he went into what was going through his head on the ice.

I came away really impressed by his interviews early on when he was struggling and getting scratched. Its refreshing to hear a player talk so openly about their game like that.
