This has been the theme from the start.

Pettersson is getting murdered at 5 v 5 which is odd. Looks tentative weak and off balance way too often
Horvat after a good couple games has taken a step back
Boeser cant make plays
Miller needs a few games to get going
Hoglander in the 2nd and 3rd looked like he was hitting a wall
Defense hasn't played together. Same trust issues with Jake and now OJ
Lack a net presence and willingness to play with puck support
trying to make scrimmage home run low percentage crap work....it won't

PP is fixable because the talent is there. PK not so sure. Tanev and Markstrom were the beat PKers but they are gone.

I honestly don't know how you could watch Myers and think "yeah this guy is worth 5x6 with a m-ntc for the majority of his contract!"

They are ONLY in the NHL because the are 5/6 picks. Not on skill

With the PP struggling, the Canucks really need to try Hoglander in Boeser's spot. He is just way better in that high traffic spot than Boeser. Better passer. Maybe next game?

I completely agree with you, we’ve lost our best PKrs but there is still a huge amount that could be improved. The PK looks dreadful and can be coached up, if our staff is capable.

I get your sarcastic point but there is no excuse for having this bad special teams. Need to be coached up to at least “acceptable” levels, which would be helpful in and of itself.
