What does Winnipeg losing their team have to do with Kulemin, Gleason or Toronto...

Obviously I'm right or I hurt their feelings or they wouldn't have sunk so low....

Leafs fans are so sensitive, you would think after so many years of futility they would be used to it.

Hopefully you guy's get some bad karma for making fun of the Jets leaving. No playoffs for the Leafs for at least another 5 years.

Wow. Bad karma...oh no. Please take it back.

Im pretty sure Kessel would look good besides Staal.

If JR refuses a trade proposal of Gleason for Kessel....he would look pretty stupid

You guys are just now realizing what you have with Kessel. I realized years ago what he's about. Hope you find solace in 30 meaningless regular season goals.

I'll take Staal, Gleason and a scrub winger over Staal, Kessel and a scrub defenseman every time.

The Jets.... are dead...for now. After they left Winnipegger's were forced to adopt a new team.

I'm a Buffalo fan, that's why I enjoy the Leafs pain.

Yes, you have a season to look forward to....and a 10th or 11 place finish also...

Please quit hurting me by rubbing in that we don't have a team anymore....

Once that rat Bettman goes away, Peg City will get a team again.

The pain on your faces the day the jets left was beautiful. I also love the look of disappointment on your faces every time the media decides to pimp a "team to winnipeg!" story getting your hopes up and nothing ever comes of it. Please suffer more :)

First of all... The Leafs suck....So much for that great start to the year...ha ha

Kulemin got exactly what he deserved, 5 knuckles to the face. Don't rabbit punch a guy who can knock the snot (and blood ) out of you.

Maybe Kulemin will think twice next time.

5 knuckles to the face? How exactly do YOU punch?

Probably because all 3 used there brain and common sense unlike Leaf fans who think it was the dirtiest thing since McSorley used Brashears head like a tee ball.

The Leafs season just keeps getting worse....and I love it.

:handclap: for what Gleason did.

Interesting that the officials called it exactly as most Leafs fans see it.

Truculence at it's best ! You have got to love the excuses from the Leafs fans in here. He punched Gleason three times in the face and well Tim had about enough and well destroyed him....next time he won't do that..hehe

Kulemin got some good shots in at the beginning, but looks like Gleason came on at the end.

Edge - Gleason

Oh Please cmon...

Kessel would be a lock for 40 with Staal

Believe me Kessel would make much more of a difference then Gleason does

That doesn't mean that they are right. That is just what they called in the spur of the moment. Gleason should have got 5 for roughing not fighting.

Based on 100 years of how calls have been made, they got it right.

How does one get "5 for roughing"? I'll have to check the rule book but I can't think of a single instance where I've seen that.

I actually miss the Winnipeg Jets. I remember when coaches would motivate their players by threatening to trade them to Winnipeg:laugh:

Went looking for the story about what the NHL decided to do about supplemental discipline for Gleason from the Kulemin beatdown: Wans't on nhl.com; wasn't on tsn.com; wasn't on hurricanes.nhl.com; wasn't on leafs.nhl.com; wasn't on newsobserver.com; wasn't on...

apparently there's no story there. Apparently the league knew there was nothing to look at, nothing to review, etc., except maybe more padding along the visitors' entrance onto the ice at RBC Center.

Ok then, 2 mins for roughing or 4 mins for roughing. (or even better, no penalty)

Not being a twit but for reference sake, it's "sow". The reference is to farming as in you sow seeds and reap a crop.

I meant sew as in sewing.

Example- There is no need to start sewing a Championship banner for the Leafs for multiple years.

or

You reap what you sew- like sewing a pink sweater for yourself, you deserve to get razzed.

Is the latter quote a play on words? If not, it's wrong. The phrase is 'You reap what you sow' which actually originated more likely as 'As you sow so shall you reap' meaning - you get back whatever you put into something.

But your Example- line above is perfect. In the use of 'sew' and in the statement of fact.
