VS host...."What was Gleason supposed to do....check to see if he had never fought before?"

Keith Jones: "No he was supposed to punch him in the face."

I love hockey.

Was that said sarcastically or as a matter of fact?

Probably because all 3 used there brain and common sense unlike Leaf fans who think it was the dirtiest thing since McSorley used Brashears head like a tee ball.

The Leafs season just keeps getting worse....and I love it.

:handclap: for what Gleason did.

SOME Leaf fans. Why would someone living in Winnipeg gloat about how the Leaf season is going? How are the Jets doing?

Kulemin looked like he wanted to fight and changed his mind when it was too late. If he wasn't going to fight, he should have just covered his face and turtled. Next time he'll know better.

Brian Burke would trade any player he's signed in Toronto for Gleason, and Carolina would reject every single offer.

I've seen several Leafs fans post this without acknowledging the inverse: Kulemin was dumb enough to punch a real fighter.

We hear this hot air from Leafs fans after every scrap. Colton Orr will do nothing because he's a nothing player. You want to waste a roster spot? Go right ahead.

Im pretty sure Kessel would look good besides Staal.

If JR refuses a trade proposal of Gleason for Kessel....he would look pretty stupid

Good for you.....I just find this pretty funny that a Jets fan would say this.

Even if we went whiteout winning a game for the entire season....At least we have a season to look forward too...

Give it up.

How can you love an incident like this.

I dont even get why this is in the hockey fights section,it wasn't a fight first of all.I guess people really like creating something out of nothing

The Jets.... are dead...for now. After they left Winnipegger's were forced to adopt a new team.

I'm a Buffalo fan, that's why I enjoy the Leafs pain.

Yes, you have a season to look forward to....and a 10th or 11 place finish also...

Please quit hurting me by rubbing in that we don't have a team anymore....

Once that rat Bettman goes away, Peg City will get a team again.

Wow, I cannot believe these Leafs fans who are attacking Jon and giving him **** because the Jets moved. Losing your home team that you support year after year is a pain that you will never experience, and I find it disgusting that some of you would sink to that level and rub it in.

Not only are you guys straight up stupid for trying to vilify Gleason for this incident, but now you're proving to be gigantic *******s too! And it's pretty funny when you team has been the joke of the league for years now

Im sorry sir...the intention of this thread was to troll Leaf fans.Theres really no doubt about that.

I just find it hilarious that a Jets fan would comment on the Leafs being pretty mediocre....I wish him no ill will...and Ill probably never experience what it is to loose my favourite hockey team but, thats not really the point

personal cheap shots to leaf fans is acceptable... but knocking his team, or lack there of is against the law? if you can give it... be sure that you can take it too.

Kind of a freak incident that gets broken up by the lineseman 9 times out of 10, but they can't babysit everybody all the time. Kulemin was pretty unlucky getting paired up with a guy like Gleason as well, but that in of itself should have been enough of a deterrent when it came to Kuli's role in the whole provocation part of the incident lol!

I don't know what's funnier: watching Kulemin flail after he realized he poked Gleason in the beak 1 too many times, or reading the ridiculously long winded rationalizations from some Leafs fans trying to explain the inner workings of an incident that probably took less than 10 seconds(?) to unfold from start to finish, or the debate over the technical merits behind what constitutes a fight having taken place and whether this topic belongs in this particular section of the HF based on those findings lol! There's absolutely nothing we can't argue over and that's why I love this site.

Back to the "fight" though; It was just a reactionary thing by both parties involved. Who started the damn thing, or who's tough and who's not is completely irrelevant; what matters is what Kulemin did to provoke someone he had no business provoking.

If Kuli didn't expect the situation to escalate while he was pressing the red button on the front of Gleason's head, then he will next time (probably won't be a next time with him, which is the way it should be). Lesson learned, **** happens, and Gleason will have to pay the piper next time they play. My guess is: that big idiot Orr will go so far over the top next time that he winds up with a suspension at the end of it all, and Leafs fans will still be crying shenanigans...the way it should be ;)

See how it works Leafs fans: I poke you, then you.....that's right; WANGO! Right in the mush, cuz I deserve it. Go ahead, I'm from Edmonton; this should be an easy win, even for you guys...

Why don't you read what he wrote first. It's kind of like Kulemin...if you don't want to get hit, then don't throw punches. :yo:

What does Winnipeg losing their team have to do with Kulemin, Gleason or Toronto...

Obviously I'm right or I hurt their feelings or they wouldn't have sunk so low....

Leafs fans are so sensitive, you would think after so many years of futility they would be used to it.

Hopefully you guy's get some bad karma for making fun of the Jets leaving. No playoffs for the Leafs for at least another 5 years.
