I sometimes hear the name Gilbert Brule mentioned along with Crosby as top prospects for 2005. I know nothing about him & I'd be interested in any info possible.

What type of player is he (who would you compare him to in the NHL)?
What is his scouting report as far as skill set?
What is his long term potential?

Thanks, Royce

Compare him to Paul Kariya
His skill is absolutely amazing. He is a natural goal scorer.
Barring a complete turnaround of his play, he will be a Top 10 selection in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

His coach, who used to play in the NHL, compared him to Yzerman.

So take it for what it's worth.

I've seen Brule several times. Easily the best player on the Giants, eclipsing NHL draftees/signess Adam Courchaine and Darren Lynch easily. This guy is something special.

I have seen Brule play 10 games and he has amazing talent. Has great vision on the ice and has one hell of a shot. He is playing on the point on PP's because of his shot and great passing ability. He is a natural goal scorer.

I think he will be a top 5 or top 10 draft pick in 2005.

A coach (Dean Evason) who has 20 playoff losses in his last 20 playoff games behind the bench. :p
