Granlund is a half point-per-game player even when he's at his worst. After our big 4, he'd be the top offensive threat on our team. He can play all 3 forward positions, and tends to mesh well with talent.

He'd be the perfect guy to add for a Cup run.

Thank you sir!

Sounds like Matthews won't be playing.

Fine with it. Plus they play the following night in Vancouver. Back to backs could put be tough on the wrist. After the back to back the Leafs' schedule lightens up over the next few weeks so he should be able to get back into the games regularly while also getting rest in between.

A lot of players can be 0.5 PPG players if they play 20 minutes a night and get PP time.

If he plays 15 minutes, which is all he is getting here if he is lucky, he's not a 0.5 PPG player anymore. He is maybe a 30-35 point guy in a full 82 game season based on the way he has been producing the past 3 years. Our 3rd liners produce similar and bring a lot more in other areas than Granlund.

He's only getting linked to the Leafs because we had interest in the offseason. He should be far down our list of choices because he is nowhere near the best choice for what we need. He wouldn't even be the top choice from Nashville.

Exactly. And we still have something crazy like a quarter plus of our remaining games against the Jets we'll need him in ship shape for.

One more complete effort, drop the 3rd game and it diminishes the dominance of the first 2. Take all 6 points and send them back to the pack.

I wouldn't mind even if we lose tomorrow, it's all about letting everyone rest have them feel good and ready for the playoffs rather than inserting them to win a useless game.
