Augustinsson is reportedly close to a move to Italy (maybe if Gladbach sells Bensebaini things may change, but doesn't seem likely here)
Someone I think is going to pay the asking price for Sargent, he earned a starter spot vs. Füllkrug and is too good for Liga 2 (should be 8-10 million)
Toprak is also way too good for Liga 2, but not sure there is a market for him, maybe he will be a target if someone needs an emergeny replacement for CB
M.Eggestein has told the club wants to move, maybe Leverkusen if they miss out on Andrich? Or Union with the Andrich money? His performances have been too shaky to earn a lot of interest from outside Germany
Friedl may find another club as well (Augsburg if they sell Danso?)

Dortmund have almost no fit players who can play CB. We might have to use some of the reserve team players in the Cup match this weekend. Akanji is the only fit CB. The top fill in options that usually play other positions also aren’t fit. If this problem continues, it’ll be a big problem. It doesn’t look like we are bringing in another CB.

...oh well, not like Uduokhai is just sitting right there, begging to be snagged by a bigger team...

Then and there
Watching a recording of the Leipzig cup game, and Szoboslai only took a couple of minutes to score a goal after coming on. And 16-year old Sidney Raebiger (who CGF mentioned in the prospects thread) comes on as well for the last 10 minutes.

Easy first win for Dortmund under Rose, but we played a third division team, so it was expected. All the second team guys or end of the squad players that played today looked terrible and caused the issues for us, so hopefully the first team guys are back fit for the start of the Bundesliga.

I'm very curious to see how Marsch does with them. Hoping at some point to see:

Olmo - Forsberg - Szoboslai
Nkunku - Sabitzer
Laimer
Angelino - Gvardiol - Simakan - Mukiele

I would have thought they'd play Moukouko in this game instead of Haaland, who scored an easy hat trick.

Frankfurt bounced & Wolfsburg looking like they might get eliminated for using too many subs in their 3-1 ET win

Bayern often struggles with Gladbach though, so I wouldn’t take this start to mean they will struggle this season.

Gladbach does well against giants in general...bayern in the league, Barca / Juve / Citeh / Inter in europe. They play against them as if they were equals & have the creativity with the ball to punch those giants in the face.

The one giant they struggle against is Dortmund, although they also broke their losing streak against us in the last game between the teams, so maybe that’ll also change.
