GJ makes some valid points. Especially the following....

This talk of a "partnership" between players and owners makes no literal sense. The player's "partnership" plan is strictly a one-way street. No one sees a $6 million player giving back $2 million of it if he soils the sheets in a season, or if the franchise that pays him loses big money. Fat chance. But that would be a true partnership.

In a true partnership, each party shares in the successes and the failures of a business.

The pro PA posters all seem to skirt this issue. :shakehead

They don't actually. They just make the conjecture that if a franchise is losing money then the players are not at all responsible OR that the franchise owners are lying about their finances.

Both of these excuses are simplistic and damaging to the game of hockey.

The players are well directed on how to make claims that are never substantiated. The NHLPA is very good at the rhetoric game.

Actually they are very bad at the rhetoric game because anyone who is not a total Pejorative Slur can see right through it.

True enough....the majority of the hockey public isn't buying it. The players themselves are another matter.

Not that I don't somewhat agree but....I have read more than one post suggesting the pro owner faction is just as intellectually challanged.
