To ask the obvious question. IF Conor beats Poirier(which is possible) and faces Charles. Can Conor really handle someone like this on the ground?

He's such a specialist on the ground like Khabib(but in different way) that I don't think Justin, Conor or Dustin can handle him on the ground. Of course, they are so good with their hands it may not go there.

Honestly, surprised with Chandler. I like all of the stuff he does outside the UFC too. Man is just a good dude but I really never thought he was that elite, just a good fighter. But any man who gives his back to Olivera and gets out of it, will always have my respect

I always thought Olivera would give Khabib some troubles but Ive caught myself saying that everytime Khabib fought and and Khabib just dominates every single one of them lol.

I don't think Conor has any shot on the ground but he can put anyone out

Poirier is the best equipped of the 3 to handle Oliveira on the ground. Don't really see Conor or Justin surviving if it hits the ground

Big time props to Oliveira there for that bounce back.

First round was really intense with both guys getting some good looks at times, but man it looked like Chandler’s raw power and ability to counter the ground game was going to be too much to overcome.

The LW is stacked and I can’t wait to see who fights who next.

Poirier is hands down the best match for Oliveira in terms of all around ability. I really like Dustin he’s a class act.

Yep Poirier literally defines the term "brawler". He's not bad at anything and he's a superstar in compete. He's a problem for anyone.

I think he runs through conor again

I hope so, but not unlike tonight’s fight I felt as though McGregor had Poirer in trouble in round one of that fight.

The thing about fighting guys like Chandler or McGregor is they have that one punch KO power that one wrong step can put you to the ground, so it’s a never say never situation everytime they are in the ring.

I actually really like Chandler’s overall ability, I think he’s a pretty well rounded fighter in his own right but you can see he lacks the tactical precision that guys like Oliveira/Poirier/Khabib have.

You're right, he had a moment there where I thought he would KO Poirier in the first.

Yup I agree, Conor is a punch away from any win but I just dont think he's versed enough any more in the UFC. Guys like Chandler and Gathe (Even though he doesnt use it lol) still have high level wrestling , Poirier added these leg kicks we've never seen him do before and he's probably the most well rounded fighter of the mentioned and Khabib had the whole mauling thing going lol

Conor even though high level seems like the guy who has the most holes in his game. Chandler's chin has been questioned before and I guess it showed up here too. If Conor doesnt beat dustin, he really hasn't had any success other than beating Cowboy in the middle of 6 his fight loss streak and obviously Alvarez
