Agreed, I don't find a draw to be an outrage, but any card that has Wilder winning more rounds should be tossed in the garbage and the judge investigated. Interestingly enough, both fighters have called for that judge to be fired, even Wilder. If you know how to score a fight 115-111 Wilder was not a possible outcome.

Except in the GSP fight, he actually won 3 rds or you could argue it. Here there is no possible way Wilder won 7, completely impossible. I can see 7-5 for Fury if you really want to stretch the truth and end up with the 113-113 score, but even that is a pretty horrible take of what transpired in that fight.

113-113 was an horrible score, but in boxing you have to excpect that.

Yeah I think 113-113 is terrible too,but I can at least see some rationale. I said to my buddy after the kd in the 12th that Fury gave the judges an out as they would do everything to prevent the foreigner coming in with a 3yr layoff from winning, turns out one judge even without the 2 knockdowns was still going to steal it from him. What a joke.

I really don't recall the round by round and because of the overwhelming majority opinion that Fury won, I will rewatch the fight later and see why my opinion differs so much.
I think the difference mostly comes in the early rounds where I gave some to Wilder.

So Boxing aside, Holloway vs Ortega, who do you pick? I legitimately have no idea. I like Holloway but I think he's looking at end of the road at 145 but who knows.

What is strange with Stevenson is they showed him being taken on the stretcher in the parking lot after the fight and he was sitting down and not out by any means. It must have deteriorated on his way to the hospital.

I gave him the 2nd and one other rd, I forget, but I was looking for rounds to give him. I has 114-112 Fury at the end, but I think 115-111 was acceptable too, even 113-113, but none of these rounds were quite difficult to judge, almost all of them were clear cut. 115-111 Wilder should be a fire-able offense.

The swelling and bleeding of the brain gets worse the more your heart beats. Initially, you could be coherent, and then later a vegetable.

I don't really know either. I just hope Holloway makes weight without any issues. I really want to see this fight and if something goes wrong again, I think he's going to be forced to move to 155.

If I had to pick and Max makes weight without issue, I think I'd pick Max. He's really long and uses it well. Ortega is a BJJ master, his boxing has gotten a lot better every time we've seen him, and he knocked out Frankie Edgar which is nearly impossible. BUT, I think he would struggle in the stand up with Max's length and I'm not sure how good his takedowns really are especially against a guy that moves as well as Max. It's such an interesting fight though because Ortega has a couple of ways he could end the fight.

I've got Holloway fairly easy if he's anywhere near 100% in the cage tomorrow. Ortega is a slow starter and Holloway will be looking to press him right off the bat. The only way I see Ortega taking it is if he catches a crazy submission out of nowhere . Edgar and Swanson don't have Holloway's smarts and top notch athleticism, he won't fall into the same traps they did .

I think your underselling victories against Cub and Frankie. Those guys are well rounded vets that have been fighting the best of the best for a long time now and Ortega emphatically stopped both of them (and in different ways). Max is a different animal for sure. That's why he's the champ, but Ortega is a beast which is what makes this fight so intriguing.

I think the biggest difference between Max and Frankie/Cub is his length.

Ortega takes a lots of punches. That's why I'm favouring Holloway. But ****, he has a good chin, if he can clinch and use his jiu-jitsu, good luck.

Ortega is bad at winning rounds. As long Holloway stay clear of that wonky clinch submission game, he'll be winning most of the fight. Tho, Ortega does have 5 rounds to find something.

Theodorou with his usual flashy long distance kick stuff that doesn't hurt the other guy a lick but wins him rounds somehow.

Not the opening round the gangster was looking for. He survived at least.

OAM grew fast in the UFC but his last two fights are ugly. I know he trains all around the place. Maybe he should just stay at tri star for his next camp (if he has another ufc fight), have a real 8 weeks camp at tri star under the exclusive tutelage of Firas.

Going back to his strenghts would be the smart thing to do in my book. He's got a strong judo background and decent BJJ, he should build around that. He's fallen a bit too much in love with the standup game after the Dunham fight.

He looked better standing up than on the ground tbh. And thats after he got rocked three times standing up. His kicks worked well though
