Zeave the Swedes to develop in Sweden, where you don't have to pay them.

So by my count: Khovanov, Giroux, Boudrias, Lodnia and Addison should all be making the jump to the AHL next year. Filip Johansson is also possible (I'd get him out of Sweden and start being more hands on). Possibly Boldy from the way he was talking about being one and done earlier. Anybody else I'm missing? I doubt Hentges would make the jump yet. Beckman can't.

For forwards? Or what? Because Hunter Jones is probably going to make the jump. Don't think McBain will. Dark horse, Bryce Misley?

Why would Hunter Jones make the jump? Misley is a nobody. He'll player another year in college and we won't even offer him a contract at this rate.

Why would Hunter Jones make the jump?

He's 20 on a team that has a bunch of players that are 20?

Semyon Der-Arguchinstev, Declan Chisholm, Liam Kirk, Max Grondin, Akil Thomas (probably going to turn pro), Brady Hinz, David Maier, John Parker-Jones, Matt McNamara, Chad Denault, Jack York are all players that are turning 20 and could be on the team next year. That's a LOT of guys and they can only have three. Easier to convince Minnesota to take Jones and develop a goaltender than all of those guys.

Jones is having a tough-go this season. I don’t think he would do well in the AHL next year, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets the opportunity to backup Robson

6th in save % and 5th in GAA. Is that a tough go?
He started strong but has been sub .900 since getting cut from Canada’s WJC team. Even then, being the 6th best goalie in a 20 team league isn’t a sure-fire “he needs to move on” situation. Tough-go maybe wasn’t the right phrase, I would just keep him in the OHL if Peterborough would take him back.

Kaprizov with career highs in goals, assists, and points while playing 2 fewer games to last season.

Also interesting how much Kaprizov is doing with so little ice time.

The top 5 KHL scorers:

Shipachyov - 65pts 20:31 TOI
Jaskin - 62pts 19:33 TOI
KK- 59pts 17:01 TOI
Omark- 53pts 20:54 TOI
Lehtonen - 49pts 22:27 TOI

Crazy difference......

What’s Newhooks plans for next year? I wonder if that’ll impact what Matt decides to do. Anyway I’d love to see Khovy and Boldy down the middle next year as 1 and 2 in Iowa

I don’t know how often college players openly talk about their plans for going pro during the season. I could see Newhook going to the AHL, but I wouldn’t say this a sure thing.

As of now, Boldy has tied Firstov with 23 points in 31 games on the season, pending what happens the second half of this game. If he keeps up this 2 ppg pace for the last few games, he could turn this into a really respectable season, numbers-wise.

Imagine if he wasn't snakebit for the first ~12.

MC got a major, so after 2 minutes of 4 on 4, BC will have a 3 minute PP. Will be a good opportunity for Boldly to keep scoring.

30 points would be nice. That’s kinda the threshold I’d like to see. Kinda crazy that a month ago he had 4 points

Yeah I'm not too worried about the points, just because I've seen the games, I don't think his stat line is an indictment of his abilities, but it would be nice to see him surpass 30
