See, this is why I love this place. I can now delete all 4 or 5 BE's sitting on my DVR and not think I am missing out on something.

Confession: I've never seen an episode of Sons of Anarchy.

BE isn't remotely close to SOA, which you should get around to eventually. It really pushed the boundaries of basic cable.

BE's pilot was pretty terrible. It is getting better mostly the intrigue. Moyer is a standout as well as the actress that plays the welsh royal. Surprisingly I stuck with it instead of immediately deleting it off the DVR.

If you want to post spoilers you can note "(SPOILER)" and then change the text to white. It's harder to read on the default background. :naughty:

Funny you ask - I did not, and had lunch with a bunch of friends a few days ago who did (Lone Star on Duke - chewy) and hadn't seen it yet. Can't answer, but am going to check the book out. Don't want to spoiler, kind of, so will answer after I read it?
Cool. I'll likely see the movie in the next week. I highly recommend the book. The best description I've read regarding the move also applies to the book: "Competence Porn"

On steak, I've heard good things about Hunting Creek in the old Le Gaulois space on King.

Loved both the book and the movie. Some parts of the book they had to cut out in order to decrease the length of the movie and the endings are different. Also, the movie is less "scientific" than the book meaning they don't have Mark get into the details about why he's doing what he's doing.

Just had one night to test it (last night). Image quality seems better in my testing using Netflix. Took a while for me to get it to switch to my 5G wifi band. Generally 5G signal is slightly less than the 2.5 band (which is to be expected) but will keep it on that band for a while since there is a cluttered 2.5 landscape considering I'm in a condo and only my 5G band is showing.

I picked up the red one. Form factor makes sense as it is easier to connect to receivers/TVs where space or placement is a bit annoying.

I can recommend the Wifi Analyzer android app. Great for helping pick a better 2.5 channel based on the surrounding wifis.

One follow up I tested out NHL Gamecenter app since it updated just yesterday to support Chromecast and it looked great and the audio was pretty hot (loud).

Returning back from the STH Party and I did get Ovechkin's signature but it wasn't on a glossy since I didn't think I'd actually be able to get it. There was very minimal contact between me and him, largely because I was too starstruck to say anything meaningful and anything I'd say would just be something stupid. Ovechkin almost never signs anything so having an autograph from him is pretty cool.

Backstrom and Carlson also signed but Kuznetzov and Niskanen...I had glossies printed out for them to sign but the lines were just too long and I needed to eat. Overall the event is okay but the lines are crazy long and the players only sign for an hour. I'm just happy I got Ovechkin's autograph...that's being framed somewhere in this room

I saw a bunch of players though even though I didn't get signatures. They all had to go to the Gotham City stage to eat and hang out before going to their autograph stations so a ton of them passed us by. Holtby drove up in his Jeep and parked right behind the theater  Great entrance. Someone yelled at Brooks Laich as he was leaving "You have a hot wife"

My seatmate got a TON of signatures (we do a playoff hat with signatures from the STH party every year... I've sort of abandoned it as "not working"). I was hoping to go but it didn't work out.

Autodrafted in a fantasy hockey league last night that my uncle invited me to (the draft started at 11:30 pm EST; no chance I was staying up for that). My goalies are Mike Smith, Alex Stalock, and Chad Johnson, and I drafted Crosby. Awful.

eeeeeew.

I second the delete suggestion. Fantasy makes you root for weird things like the Cowboys and Crosby.

Decided to wear my first ever "playoff hat" to the season opener. Hopefully it will symbolize this team confronting (and overcoming) its demons.
