Vaakanainen seems to be playing against himself more than the other team is. Had a couple nice plays in his own end, but man he still just looks a bit "unnatural" out there.

These poor turnovers are keeping Zboril from the show

Cehlarik looks good out there today. Just had himself a nice two-way shift where he stole the puck from a defender and turned it into an offensive opportunity.

I thought Zboril was great that period. He had one shift where he gave the puck away a few times but other than that, he was noticeable in a good way.

Thoughts After One:

- Keyser is sharp and has made several nice saves
- Studnicka is bringing it today and needs to play like this every night
- Death, taxes and Cameron Hughes playing well
- Vaakanainen is fighting himself and making things harder than they need to be
- Lauzon should be in the NHL
- Zboril has had some bad turnovers, but should be learning in the NHL based off his two-way prowess and skill alone
- Glad to see Gaunce back and hungry as usual
