Lauko won’t be dealt agree

what a ballsy pick

confident people with talent who work hard excel

this guy is that

Why are you saying it was a ballsy pick?
He fell to the 3rd round ,I believe red-line actually had him as a first rounder.

Since Coyle is playing well with Krejci I want to see Studnicka get a few games in Boston to see where he’s at. I know he’s putting up points but I haven’t been watching games so I don’t really know how he’s looked.

Negative, him and Lauko are getting the Debrusk treatment, whole year in Providence uninterrupted ,no excuses!

odd they signed him for just one game. Did Atlanta play last night And they wanted him in the lineup?
no idea, all I know is Halverson played here, then went to Norfolk in the off season, keep in mind, they don't have an affiliation, so it may have been easier to recall him, and what the statuses are between Vladar and Keyser, that's a better call for those who directly follow Providence, but it makes sense to use the affiliated team, then look outside of that for players....

I expected Steen to be more productive in his first year in the AHL, thought his explosive skating would work wonders for him here immediately but he's still relatively new to the smaller ice.

I've only watched 3 Providence games so far though.

I took a couple games off but watched tonight. My thoughts:

-- The defensive play was pretty bad but it was a pretty entertaining game. Give the PB's credit for clawing back to tie it late.
-- Koppanen was probably the best player for Providence. He was really surprised me this year with his play.
-- Cehlarik was pretty good...he had a lot of chances but couldn't bury them (hit one post).
-- Fitzgerald had a decent number of chances as well to no avail (just realized he had 9 SOG).
-- Lauko and Gaunce are in a heated race to be my favorite Providence player. Both consistently make good plays and stand out. Lauko didn't get an assist on Koppanen's goal but it wouldn't have happened if he didn't use his impressive speed to win a footrace past two defenders just before the goal. He deserves more ice time than he is getting.
-- Studnicka doesn't consistently stand out offensively for me but he is starting to capitalize on his chances which is encouraging.
-- I thought Frederic wasn't very good in the first period but got better over the course of the game -- including a nice pass on Koppanen's goal.
-- Steen has 2 goals & 28 shots in 20 games and just doesn't generate a whole lot out there...I'm not sure why he is getting a regular shift on the #1 PP at this point.
-- Paul Carey was terribad tonight. I counted 4 egregious turnovers (including one that led directly to a SHG), he took a dumb offensive zone penalty, and couldn't bury a wide open set up in front of the net. If anyone else played like he did they would be a healthy scratch the next game. Kudos to Leach for not having him on the ice for the 6-on-5 that tied the game. Sweeney should see if he can trade him for an AHL lifer who actually produces.
-- Legace let in 2 bad goals (including the game winner). He is maddeningly inconsistent.

If Koppanen looks good this year that’s interesting because he’s HUGE

Not sure how interesting it is. He is huge, but he still has 4th line upside. This is a player that before this season, has 2 points in 45 AHL games. He's at 5 points in 10 games this year.
