I finally got it and my wife has it now. Tomorrow is the last day I can get the antibody infusion. So far no fever just exhausted.
I tested negative then. A few coworkers have it and I got tested on Saturday after not being able to taste breakfast. Today is the last day for the monoclonal antibody infusion I was offered because I’m high risk. I feel ok just tired with an occasional cough. My wife has body aches and cough but her taste buds seem fine.
Thank you. She’s been working through it (from home) and napping on her lunch break. She did sleep in today and will probably work this afternoon.

I was hoping for a bigger penis for myself. I guarantee you if that was a side effect we wouldn't have a problem with men getting vaccinated. The pharmaceutical companies missed an opportunity for sure.
With the Canucks and Habs having some Covid issues recently, are any of you perplexed like me that professional athletes have not been given vaccines yet? I would think every athlete that wants one, would have them by now?
I’m with you especially at this point with vaccines readily available I think early on they may have been worried about the optics of athletes bypassing, say, teachers/doctors

Biden Covid Advisor Warns ‘Game-Changing’ Variant Infects Kids ‘Very Readily’ And Could Spur New Lockdowns
Where Do COVID Vaccines Stand Against the Variants? So, I am thinking the J&J vaccine may not be very effective down the line. I received the first dose of the Moderna vaccine during a trip to Arizona last Friday. I am going back at the end of April to get the second dose. It took me all of 10 minutes to get my on-line appointment a couple of weeks ago, and received the vaccine at a local pharmacy near my Mom's home. Easy, peasy. I am going to look for information as to why the RNA vaccines are 6 to 8 fold less effective against the Brazilian variant as Fauci claims.
The county took the weekend off (lazy bastards) so that is going f*** up our counts. Monday's numbers Hosp and ICU both down (big) from Friday though
The only reason I can think of why a RNA vaccine wouldn't be effective is that whatever target it is simulating doesn't match up. Since these vaccines simulate the spike protein of COVID, It's likely that these variants have mutations that change that protein. So far we've been lucky that most of the mutations have just caused slight increases in transmission or morbidity and haven't resulted in any major structural changes to the virus.
This is my understanding of RNA technology as well. There would have to be a significant change in the protein spikes in order to render the RNA vaccines ineffective. I don't think it is wise to consider any more lock downs if these new variants have no to little impact on hospitalizations and morbidity.
I got the second moderna shot last Friday, and it was fine for awhile until about 24 hours later, I felt like I had a bad hangover, fatigued etc. Symptoms didn’t last very long, about 8 hours.
