The Justice Department alleges that Bellamy — who was a member of the New York Jets until Wednesday — received a PPP loan (Paycheck Protection Program) for more than $1.2 million, which was supposed to be for his company, Drip Entertainment, LLC.

The Justice Department report indicates that Bellamy spent more than $104,000 in luxury goods, which included purchases at Dior, Gucci and various jewelers. Bellamy also is accused of spending more than $62,000 in PPP loan money at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and withdrawing more than $302,000.

This was part of a more widespread fraud, the department said, with Bellamy also allegedly securing PPP loans on behalf of family members and close associates. Ten other defendants were named in the allegations, with total PPP loan fraud estimated to be more than $24 million. None of the other alleged co-conspirators played in the NFL.

I will never understand why someone with this kind of money can’t just take an Uber or pay a private driver.

Stubblefield gets 15 years to life. :thumbu:

from apnews.com:

Former San Francisco 49er Dana Stubblefield was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison Thursday for raping a developmentally disabled woman who prosecutors said he lured to his home with the promise of a babysitting job.

The sentence was issued by a judge in San Jose after denying a defense motion for a new trial, the Mercury News reported. Last week, the Sixth District Court of Appeal denied a related petition filed on behalf of Stubblefield by his attorneys.

A jury in July found Stubblefield, 49, guilty of raping the woman with the threat of a gun. He was also convicted of forcible oral copulation and false imprisonment. He has been held in the Santa Clara County Main Jail since the verdict.

from espn.com:

Free-agent linebacker Vontaze Burfict was arrested early Saturday in Nevada on a misdemeanor battery charge, according to Clark County court records.

According to Clark County Detention Center records, Burfict was being held on $1,000 bond. A hearing in the case was set for Monday.

No information about the incident that led to Burfict's arrest was immediately available.

Burfict has not played in the NFL since being suspended for the remainder of the 2019 season following a Week 4 hit on Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle while playing for the Raiders. The NFL cited Burfict's repeated violations of unnecessary roughness rules in handing out the longest suspension ever for an on-field incident.

Nonsense from Fuller

Its on you to know what is or isn't banned... If your taking something from doctor not affiliated with team you should still ask/notify team doctor of drug your taking and if it is legal
I agree. Such nonsense of an "apology" and explanation. The resources NFL teams have are almost endless, this medication could have been verified very easily. Not buying it.
