I think Kendrick might be only guy in here for insider trading while active player

Guys like Shane Matthews got involved in similar crimes after retirement

And Kendrick made a tidy profit from scheme so he should be seeing jail time for this

Fmr. Eagles LB Mychal Kendricks charged with insider trading

Former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Mychal Kendricks and a California businessman have been charged with insider trading.

U.S. Attorney William McSwain made the announcement in Philadelphia on Wednesday morning.

According to investigators, Damilare Sonoiki allegedly provided Kendricks with information about his investment bank's clients, including non-public information about pending mergers and acquisitions.

Kendricks would use that information to buy call options, then sell those call options for a profit after mergers were announced, McSwain said. Kendricks made a profit of $1.2 million, investigators say.

In return, investigators said Kendricks provided Sonoiki with $10,000 in cash and tickets to Eagles games.

Morons talked about it over apple facetime . That might have been the dealbreaker here. Every single thing you do on a phone or computer is recorded and stored somewhere and will be retrieved and used against you. You gotta talk in real life with all electronics turned off about this kinda shit.

Scary reminder of the digital surveillance age that feds can pull up a facetime conversation about a couple of guys talking about insider info.

Looks better than getting arrested for the usual domestic violence or DUI charge.

At least it shows players are trying to reverse the trend of going broke when they retire.

More from CBS Sports:

Wichita police Officer Charley Davidson said police responded to a rape-in-progress call at an apartment complex near K-96 and Rock Road and located a woman who reported being sexually assaulted by Randle.

The woman had minor injuries to her face, Davidson said in a news release about the arrest.

The alleged rape happened between 9 p.m. on Thursday and 1:11 a.m. on Friday, according to a police report filed in the case.

The report says Wichita police suspected Randle of using alcohol at the time of the offense.

Sedgwick County Jail records show 26-year-old Randle was booked on suspicion of rape at 3:43 a.m. on Friday. His bond has not been set. He was also booked on suspicion of a probation violation.

Source: Vikes' Griffen under hospital evaluation
Everson Griffen is being evaluated at a hospital in the Minneapolis area following an incident over the weekend where police were called to the hotel at which the Minnesota Vikings defensive end has been staying, a league source told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

The source said Griffen is "getting assistance on personal matters" and that the league is "comfortable he has a good support system around him."

According to an incident report obtained by ESPN, authorities from the Minneapolis Police Department were called to Hotel Ivy on Saturday because an individual was threatening to shoot someone if he wasn't allowed in his room.

Though his name was redacted from the incident report, sources told ESPN's Courtney Cronin that the individual in question is Griffen, the Vikings' ninth-year defensive end.

...

The incident report states that hotel staff believed Griffen was possibly under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. The report states that he checked into the hotel last week and caused a disturbance "each time he walks through the lobby." On Saturday, the situation escalated to a point where Griffen allegedly threatened to assault hotel staff.

Griffen told authorities "I'm leaving" after police arrived on the scene, according to Minneapolis Police Department Public Information Officer John Elder. Police found no gun, and no arrest was made.

Weird situation in Minnesota. Note: according to reports he was not arrested.

Scary situation. All the best to him in dealing with whatever he is dealing with. I hope he gets the help he definitely needs.
