Of course the Bubble is optimal, but the choice might be between that and nothing. Some players will choose nothing. Others will choose the bubble, if that's the only way that they can play.

Canada's Covid numbers are a fraction of what they are down here, but could easily ramp up once flu season starts. Really hard to guess at where we will be in 3 months time.

A bubble for an 82 game regular season just doesn't seem practical. Playoffs is one thing, much smaller in scale, fewer games etc. Regular season is just too big for a bubble.

Considering, so far, that NCAA/NFL have no new cases since starting up -- I don't think you're going to see NBA/NHL go along with that junk again. Long time away from families and normalcy.

NCAA has no new cases? They've cancelled at least three games for this weekend, haven't they? Notre Dame being the big one.

Yeah I think the NCAA has been less than perfect, but the NFL has been smooth sailing. So far...

The big difference is that the NFL can survive with no gate, the NHL can't.
