Bratislava still could fight for play-off.

Yeah... What's interesting is that Slovan played Yugra, Avto, Barys and Avangard in the last 4 home games. 2 wins, 1 shoot-out win and 1 loss. That's 8 out of 12 possible points -- not too bad.

The next 4 games for Slovan are, again, Yugra, Avto, Barys and Avangard, but away. Watching the same 4 opponents again so soon will make for some interesting comparisons. Getting 8 out of 12 points once more would be fabulous. 6 out of 12 points, for road games, wouldn't be shabby, either, but Slovan needs to be catching up with others. Anything lower than 6 out of 12 points would seriously hamper Slovan's chances at a play-off spot. :amazed:

I hope Slovan's backup goalie Kopřiva didn't get hurt in today's game; he had to leave midway. He's officially backup, but has better overall stats than Janus. Both Slovan goalies have been OK overall so far, though not outstanding.

It's the same kind of schedule for Admiral. They played Dynamo Moscow, Ak Bars, Vityaz and Torpedo at home, now they play them on the road. 6 out of 12 points isn't terrible but I can't expect them to get more than that on the road trip. 6500 km to Moscow and a time difference of seven hours. :(

Well, Admiral sitting in a play-off spot at least doesn't need to collect points as urgently as Slovan does. 6 to 6 split is, let's say, OK for Admiral, but would be pretty bad for Slovan in Slovan's current situation. Coach Čada said before the 4 games his goal was to get at least 10 points out of 12. Well, he got 8. I wonder what his goal for the road trip will be. The minimal goal should be 6 points, but Slovan really needs even more. I'd be happy with 8 points again -- anything above that would be almost sensational. ;)

By the way, that "funny schedule" is because we're around the middle of the regular season right now (27 out of 54 games played), and the KHL, unlike the NHL, uses a "mirror image" to construct a team's season. :amazed: Typical for the KHL season is that you (roughly!) play your games no. 1 and 54 against team A, games 2 and 53 against team B, games 3 and 52 against team C, games 4 and 51 against team D, and so on, and so on... and we've now arrived "in the middle of the alphabet", so that the two games against the teams involved almost follow directly on one another. ;)
