That’s a goal swedish defenseman shoves him into Alnefeldt. Plus the puck crosses the goal line way before Podkolzins even close to him.

I'm happy Podkolzin got the monkey off his back. I have questions about his hockey IQ and deception abilities, but his compete level and will are extremely high. He can become an important piece on any team.

Russia seems better 5 on 5, on the PP Sweden seems a bit sharper perhaps. If Russia keeps the pressure going, the 2-2 goal should not be far away.
