Hopefully they figure it out by tomorrow....the best defence is to keep up the pressure the entire game, no matter what you are up by.

They must keep with the soft dump ins so that they can punish the D and wear them down.
The soft dump ins will be huge against the Russians.(I know it's not 100% certain that they are playing Russia but it sure looks like it) The Rusians have a smalll defence and if Canada can get a good forecheck going they will beat Russia. If they keep trying these long passes they will most likely lose.

If Brodeur played the butterfly and slid over with both pads on the ice, how is the puck NOT saved? The only reason it went in is because he tried is one knee on the ice kick-save, the puck went right through that wide-open gap in his legs.

From the replays they showed on MSNBC during the game, it looked like the puck was right where it was supposed to be, about 13 inches off the ice right inside the post so your beloved butterfly goalies would not have stopped it either because it would have been over their pad.

If you really want to complain about a soft goal after a performance like that, stick with the second one or quit watching hockey because you will never be happy.

Czech rep.
Vokoun needs to pull himself together. Two lame goals in the first period effectively doomed us. Too bad we usually don't start playing until the 2nd period :shakehead

Quit watching hockey? Man, you don't have to be so dramatic. I think it was save-able, so what?

A typical Devils game today. After a couple offensively challenged games, the Devils somehow manage to get 3 goals in the first. Then they just shut it down, take a couple really dumb penalties and hope Brodeur can do the rest. :propeller
