Little more than I thought but not absurd or anything. I think he can still be useful in a 13th forward role coming in to stir some shit up on the 4th line every other week or something.

If you're looking for what the difference between what a top 9 NHL forward is and one that isn't I think Hathaway is as clear of example as you could find.

Hathaway is a tough dude that will step up for others. Might not be more than a fourth liner, but if we make the playoffs, this is a guy that will his presence known and help us

No seriously, I have no clue. Been a flames fan and have liked what they have done, but this guy is nothing more than an energy 4th liner or 13th forward.

I'm not saying the guy will score 30 points, in fact, I'd agree he probably won't, but despite being 26, he's improved quite a bit every season as a pro. So saying it definitely won't happen is foolish, players have peaked at later points in their careers before and Hathaway hasn't stalled in his development.

Guy should be a 13th/14th guy who comes in for 15-25 games a season, plays hard, hits hard, chips in. Not an NHL regular, but still a good guy to have around.

If I remembered correctly, he fluked out and scored a few points when he first came up then almost zilch after that..

But I could be wrong and just tired of the guy
