Really wish we'd see Tatar/Smith but that's beating a dead horse. Hopefully Franzen continues his historical success against Colorado - that whole line needs some sort of spark.

The horse is a zombie: it might be dead, but with every game that Babcock ignores it the problem grows bigger. I really hope he soon figures out why he's benching him so that he can address it.

Until then, however, it is to be expected that the fans are stocking up on shotguns and chainsaws.

This game is going to showcase young skill vs old skill, in terms of forward play. If Colorado wins big, then Holland/Babcock had better recognize where the league has been going for the last several years and make the moves accordingly. The worst thing that can happen, is that we either steamroll Colorado or win coming from behind 4-2 or 5-3. This will entrench Holland's/Babcock's mentality and our young players will be a tragic casualty.

The average fan doesn't give a ****.

The average fan doesn't know the product beyond what is put on the ice.

I wanna see Babcock and Roy fight.
Osgood is going to be there. Have him come down. Fight for old time's sake.

Even if we lost 10-0 it wouldn't cause any big changes.

C'mon, the return of Sammy could spark the offense :sarcasm:

I think it will be a close game. Something like 4-3 either way. Can't wait to watch more of Toots. Hopefully he gets a little more TOI after his great performance last game.

Does anyone know what Howard's status is? Is he still injured?

Perhaps the average fan hasn't noticed it like the average person won't notice the zombie outbreak until it's too late. Those of us perceptible enough and who know what to look for, however, can't be blamed when we see the signs and act accordingly.

In antiquity the Celts often decided battles by single combat between chosen heroes from either side. I think that's a concept well worth reviving for modern day sports entertainment.

Honestly, if Babcock could keep the top line and 4th line the way they are, we are in good shape. It's just the middle two that could use some work. There's a lot of dead weight in there.

This will be the toughest game of the season.

We aren't playing san jose yet. If they keep their pace up thorton's gonna get himself a ring.

And don't forget that babcock gets owned hard and fast, multiple times by his old assistant coach.

Gonna keep up the streak (3 in a row hope so :handclap: cause its the mother****ing dive and they can eat ****) of picking a loss so we get the opposite avs 4-2.

I'm not usually one to care either way but this game I'd like the win and knock the Avalanche on their rear ends. I'd like for the Wings to break Colorodo's streak tonight. We need to send a message for the return game and Lidstrom's retirement.

Wings will end Colorado's streak. Roy will throw a temper tantrum after the game. We all will laugh and put back a few ice cold ginger ales.

Want to see a Statue of Liberty today! :yo:

The mighty moment of most arrogant individual ever.

I also want to see Ozzie fighting against Roy behind the benches.

Hopefully Tootoo flies into the Avalanche bench and decks Roy before being traded midgame, after which Tatar and Nyquist are put in the lineup, Cleary is benched, Eaves is waived, Glendening is sent down, and Helm comes back.

Totally could happen.
