Since none of the teams ahead of us play tomorrow, if we win this game we will be 4 points (5 with ROW) out of a playoff spot. That should make for some fun conversations on the radio post-game.

man this is just bonkers. after edler, does anyone outside of vancouver even know who tf any of those guys who are in the lineup are? and the two sitters/dead weight are both former high picks... a bad omen for quinn?
Only have given up 2.36 GApg since Gudbranson left. All of these no namers are improvements on him lol

What jobs are on the line? Benning? Green? Why would the players care?
Only actual players who might be on the bubble are Pouliot and Schenn. There's a couple RFAs and will find work elsewhere if not qualified. Eriksson is going nowhere and unless Benning is canned I think Schaller will be back.

Look, Pettersson needs 8 points to match Nicklas Backstrom for second all time for swedish rookie scoring. If he's gonna pad his stats, its gonna be tonight.

does kent nilsson count as a rookie? seems like for the same reason that gretzky doesn’t own the rookie scoring record, if EP passes backstrom he is #1.

although forsberg deserves an asterisk for being higher than a point/game in the lockout year.

EDIT: oh wait i just looked it up—there are lots of guys between bacstrom and nilsson... mats naslund, the other dahlin, the other pettersson, and mikael renberg in first place with 82 pts.

That D corps..lol, pretty telling that the top pair are both pre-Benning acquisitions. We're firmly at the point of the season where it's hard to care enough to watch, much like the final games of the past couple seasons, just nothing there to really key in on, besides maybe seeing how many points EP can get, Hughes will test the waters at some point but who knows when, Demko is something but it sounds like he won't get many starts.

This year's Canucks currently have the 2nd worst actual 60 minute win total in the Benning era

2014-15: 37
2015-16: 22
2016-17: 19
2017-18: 25
2018-19: 20

Only 3 non-playoff teams left on the schedule

Whats hughes mystery injury?
If hughes is playing it might benefit pettersson

Theres no mystery. He has a bad foot from blocking a shot. They are taking their time and not rushing him.

Who cares if it would benefit Pettersson if Hughes plays
