I was not a fan of Cassidy’s in PRO, but was told by a few people that he was a brilliant coach, just had a “prickly” manner at times, and that he would be good if he made his way back to the NHL.

The move I liked was a subtle one. After the icing, he left 63 and 88 out, but replaced Nash with 35 seconds left and the faceoff in the offensive zone.

Goal.

Brilliant move.

not to be lost in this is Krejci had a real good shift on the goal.

Besides Schaller's goal, we witnessed some gritty penalty killing by the Bruins tonight.

It’s gonna suck to lose Schaller to FA this off-season. We certainly have like 90 guys that can replace him, but he’s been great.

Now that's the way winning is done. Incredibly proud of this team's response when it gets down. Every single player is bringing it. The Bs might be missing a ton of stars, but nobody on the Bs is using that as an excuse. The boys believe in themselves and are continuing to rack up points against the odds. This was a massive win, not only for the points, but in terms of added confidence to keep on keeping on busting their ass and reaping the good things that can come from that.

The entire D unit and Rask deserve a ton of credit for keeping Dallas' goal totals down enough for the offense to be in the position to win the game. HALF of the starting D is injured, and this makeshift D corps along with Rask did what it needed to do to get the job done. It wasn't always pretty, but it was good enough. Carlo and Quaider were excellent.

The ability of Schaller, Kuraly and Acciari to kill penalties should lessen the PK burden on Marchand and Bergeron in the play-offs and keep them fresher for even strength play.

Yeah, when I first saw it, I thought he was shooting it, but when I rewatched it, you can see that he was going to shoot and then took something off and put it right to Pasta.

Even if Toronto win all their 8 remaining games in regulation or OT, we’d just need to win 3 games in regulation or OT and get 4 points elsewhere in 9 games to be guaranteed home-ice advantage. 3-1-4 would do it, or 4-3-2. God knows we won’t need it, though. 4-5 points or so in 9 games should be enough. Would be nice to get #1 seed, but getting healthy is much more important.
