It’s truly embarrassing, win or lose, that they’ll be giving up 5 or 6 goals to EDM with Talbot in net, and only one of those goals, a weak one, gifted to McDavid...

Pittsburgh
Brilliant Sullivan, keep Rust with Crosby, and move Guentzel off the line for Brassard.

Same thing happened last year. Jake left Sid's line, led the team in hits, and found his game right back with Sid towards the end of the year.

Those 2 just cannot start together. They stand around too much.

I’m pretty sure JJ was on the ice for all 5 Oilers goals so far. 100% sure he was on for 4.

What a player.

Edmonton has 11 first round picks playing tonight by my count.

Yet we keep getting wingers that do absolutely nothing on the right side.

Put Horny there and be done with it.

I don't want to hear any bitching about Brassard's usage. He couldn't produce with 3rd line caliber players. He's now playing in place of our best LWer. Score a f***ing goal.

Pretty sure he's been on the ice for close to 75 percent of the goals scored on the team so far this season.

I am a taaaaad disappointed with Brassard's ability to win any battle. Dude used to kill us all game. I do not like his game so far.

The lingering question about having 'the most depth up front that we've had in years' was always going to be how the pieces fit together.

The answer . . . we don't have a RW who can stick with Sid, we need to play a 42 year old Cullen at L3 LW, there's no fit for Brass, and we have no 4th line.

Dumo should have check him into the boards. That puts a stop to that going to the net. No fore check, no hitting, no paying the price. Oh well.

That's Oleksiak.

Ruhwedel actually looked good playing #6 mins in 2017. Poor in 2018, but he still has showed more than Oleksiak.

Oleksiak has never looked good playing in the playoffs.

Sure he'll score more points but is an adventure in his own zone.

Ruhwedel is just a more steady player.

He absolutely is not. Ruhwedel is horrible. He has limited offensive ability, he gets bullied in the defensive zone, he isn't particularly good at defending against the rush, and he's small.

He is not more solid than Oleksiak and he has about 1/100th the potential.

I mean... we do, but Sid doesn't want to play with him.
