I'm just saying...the standard around here for "ugly win" has been changed since Claude departed.

Not a perfect game, but look at the shot clock. Bruins were the far better team in this game.

Only because we likely would've lost this game back then.

As for shot count, we almost always won that under Clode too. Not same type of shots, though.

Is Backes a guy you want out on a 6 on 5?

I am absolutely fine with having an extra centerman and veteran like Backes on ice in that situation. Do I want a tired Backes out there...no but I don't want anyone tired out there. His backhander was tipped and missed net. He did just fine and is playing great in my opinion. Every game he makes someone on the other team pay with a huge hit, the points are starting to come. Obviously a great locker room presence. Last player to get a letter on jersey in first year ? Chara?

wasn`t pretty but I don`t care. Nice first game from Stafford, 6 pts behind Beleskey and 4 behind Hayes for pts as a Bruin this year

I can't see any valid reason to ever take Schaller out to play Belesky for the rest of the year.
