Julien's job is to coach and develop a team that wins on the ice.
Price's job is to give his team the most chances to win.

It's not on losing on purpose that you develop a team.
We're trailing 3-0. Why bother, we gonna lose.

Honestly you can't just tank for a season without any consequences.
