I thought they took Tuch off LTIR when they traded Eakin. Otherwise they can't accrue cap when using LTIR, right?

I don't think you can do that. Players would be in and out of LTIR all the time for cap convenience. I think once LTIR, it's mandatory 30 days or 10 games IIRC

Tuch is still on LTIR. I'm pretty sure it's just the cap benefits that were rendered useless after the Eakin trade.
