Our PP is so bad. I hated the MacLean hire. He needs to go. We need a assistant coach that can actually make a PP better not worse. MacLean has a horrendous PP track record. Hard to imagine a guy who has proven so thoroughly over so many years that he's that bad at coaching PPs. Yet we gave him another chance

Rinaldo/Archibald/Martinook/Domi, in a dead heat this year with 4 goals a piece, chasing Kcon Orr with 6, and Everyones cousin Nick with 10. Who would have thought???coyote hockey!

No bueno, but I still think this team looks a hell of a lot better losing 5-2 to Calgary tonight than they looked ever 3 months ago.

Also, how bout the mitts on KConn? I’m tellin ya, Norris finalist next year.

We need a 7th D next year but I'm not sure 2-3 weeks of really good KConn makes up for 4 months of terrible play.

Maybe he goes at the deadline. Playoff teams always like cheap depth on D.

Rsaanta had 3 go in he should have had. Raanta has to make a save sometimes. True the D wasn't good either.
After Martinook missed the opportunity for us to go up 2-0, everything went downhill. Raanta did not have a good game, by his standards, but he didn't have much support either.

My favorite moment of the game was that time when Gaudreau skated in completely alone and untouched - essentially a penalty shot - on Raanta's blocker side while our defense (including our de-facto captain!) were standing watchfully at the left post. So vigilant! They had a great view of the goal. They could have posted it to Snapchat, considering how little they were doing otherwise.

I knew that was going to be a goal at the opposite blueline. You can literally see the team become befuddled and lose composure very early in a shift that will result in a goal against. They lack the ability to cope with in-shift adversity.

I hate that the Yotes had an almost week long break right in the middle of the ONE hot streak this season to break it up. So tired of breaks in general lol.

Team looked reallly sloppy and the powerplay was horrendous. Little player movement, bad puck movement, just looked like they were in quicksand. Raanta didn't have a good game either, so the team didn't get bailed out from their effort.

I hear that their back up goalie is off the hook. Oh wait, sorry, the Yotes let him off of the hook is what it was. ;)

Kconn with a nice goal to wrap up the game, though. I can't complain about that... team needed more shots like that on their back up.

Would like to see Domi moved from that line just for his sanity's sake. Also, he must hate Hathaway (spelling) at this point haha.

The one PP Stepan had the puck and was on the side boards and he just stops and stickhandles for what seemed like a minute, and no one else was moving trying to get open. I blame the guys on the PP more than MacLean. We aren't moving the puck on the PP so it makes it very easy to defend against.

Continually pushed around by Calgary, LA and Anaheim. Need to get tougher next season. Crouse back will help, need a 6/7 Dman like Shenn......but nastier, drafting Brady Tkachuk would also help (if we draft 4th).
The problem with depending on that 3RD spot for toughness is that we really need another RHS PP option from the blueline. I don't like Demers on PP1 and I don't like Goligoski playing RD with OEL. Think that set up has been one of the reasons why we've had such a tough time maintaining the possession at the blueline with the man advantage. OEL always be pinchin' and Goligoski is all twisted up. I'd prefer any RD we pick up to be somebody who can be very effective on the PP (even if he's a specialist and doesn't contribute much more than that).

Also, if we're depending on a 4th liner like Cousins for goals rather than toughness, that's going to hurt the overall team toughness a little. Same with Martinook and Richardson who we need for their PK prowess, even if both play a fairly passive game most of the time.

If you're a bottom six forward and you don't contribute to specialty teams, I don't think you can be a weak bitch. As much as I like how Cousins and Archibald can draw penalties.

I definitely think this team has trouble when the other team gets a little dirty. Seems like they totally lose their game or turtle up. Idk if it's just a mental toughness thing but they need to get better at rising to the challenge in those situations. Maybe those players you speak of would help. I hope!

Saw the same thing. Guys were standing still. Stepan, and alllll 4 other guys are just in one spot haha. How in the world did they expect someone to be open in that scenario if no one was going to get open or get into a dangerous position? Just seemed like dumb hockey.

They were still on the course wondering who was away to putt first.
