And the funny thing is he'd likely not be up here if not for Wolanin's injury. So we have one rookie here because we have to.Yeah... I think it's just Brannstrom, right?

Abramov is a similar player to Ennis, but more skilled. Why do we even have Ennis, if we have Abramov?
Yeah they REALLY have to stop that narrative.I was driving to work today listening to Team 1200, and they're still playing Sens tickets ads promoting all the new and exciting rookies.
... Featuring 28-year-old AHL lifer Jordan Szwarz.
Boro and Demelo have the highest corsi% out of Ottawa's defense, while getting around 64% of d zone starts (64.7% and 63.6% respectively). Likely has to do with being on the ice less often more than anything, but still. I'd say Demelo has been complementing to Boro, and they look fine on the 3rd pairing.

Guys, they said the kids would be alright but they never said where.
Uhm... something weird is going on. Corsica has very different numbers.
Just looking at 5v5 for DeMelo:
My understanding is the NHL has switched over to a new system to a new software tracking system, I know it screwed up shot location data, but it appears some other data might be affected too.[TBODY] [/TBODY]

For the time being, I'm not at all confident in any advanced stats for the current season.
I used Hockey-reference, I know there has been some issues with the shot tracking, didn't know there was any problems with zone starts. Interesting.

Any line with Matt Kassian on it must be the worst line we ever had.Eh, to me by that point Kelly's skating had erased any hint of defensive presence of physicality.
It's hard to go back and validate lines, so while there may have been some horrendous combo like Bala Ylonen Ciernik or Dahlman-Langfield-Hull, I can't say they played as a line
Heck, for all I know we had a line of Phil Crowe, Dave Hannon and Denny Lambert. They played in at least a game together, so maybe...

He has to be in the top 3 worst players I've seen in the NHL.
Who cares about Mark 'effin' Stone. This going to be a coming-out-party for Brannstrom
Paul is in, Boedker out. Anisimov remains unable to play.
Corsi numbers are inconsistent too.

I don`t mind the lines, though they could be better if they bothered calling up NHL caliber players... Not sure what Szwars is doing up or how Paul is supposed to make an impression playing with him and Boedker.
Only 1st and 2nd year pros are exempt. AHL counts as a pro year to my understanding so callups mean nothingThey might not call up some players in order to not expose them to the expansion draft?
“The kids are alright” is a terrible marketing slogan ha.
