Glad to see us get the win, but I was not satisfied with the lack of discipline in this game. Yeah the refs screwed us on a few calls, but 10 minor penalties on our part is ridiculous.

Anyway, the 4th. line looked pretty good out there today and Klink certainly had a hell of a game. He would have had the hat trick too with 11 seconds to go if we didn't take a penalty.

very pleased / impressed at this point. I'm certain the boys knew what they needed to to, but ya gotta hand it to Tippett and his staff, for making sure it actually happened (no easy task). What a beautiful & quick turnaround from the depths we saw from the first two games of the road trip.

After these past three wins, the discussion about shuffling lines, and sending players down to Portland sure got quiet.

I think part of the genius was sending the players down on a couple of levels. It called out the vets (kids were doing fine) and it brought experience (never hurts). And yes my knee jerk reaction was not positive regarding sending players down, until I heard Tippetts reasoning.

Line shuffling? That's just gonna happen. How 'bout Ribs with Korps & Moss!

Then when it became clear Klinkhammer is an offensive juggernaut:
Klinkhammer - Vermette - Doan
Boedker - Hanzal - Vrbata
Korpikoski - Ribeiro - Moss
Biz - Chipchura - Kennedy

Kennedy got less than 5 min. and Biz didn't crack 4.
OEL had 10 minutes on special teams alone.
Hanzal played 21 min. including defending the 5 on 3 and got a penalty hat trick for his trouble. Cue signing a right-handed penalty kill specialist center to lighten his load.
