I don’t think any team plays a flawless 60 minutes. Not the Jets. Not the Blues. Not anyone.

Anyways, disappointing end result yesterday. Even without the fade, the Jets didn’t play as well as they did in other games.

Most of us figured this is a 6 or 7 game series. We’re trading punches with the hottest Western team. It’s comforting to know that if both teams are playing at a high level, we have the edge.

Anything can reasonably happen. Looking forward to another intense game and hopefully we get to see at least one more.

Watched 5 minutes of NHL Central Radio on NHL TV channel at lunch. There were talking about what Colorado is doing to beat Calgary. They stated that they are a well coached team for the playoffs in that the forwards are driving to the net, going to the dirty areas, making it very difficult for Calgary's defence and Mike Smith. Described as Playoff Hockey.

We didn't do that at all in Game 1. We did that in Game 2 for about half the game. We did that in Game 3 until well into the third . We did that for most of Game 4. We did that for about half of Game 5.

Why the hell don't we play that way for 60 minutes, or for almost 60 minutes until we have a big lead built up like in Game 3? It's like our default is dump and chase perimeter shot hockey. That's not going to win in the playoffs.

We can still beat the Blues easily. We just need to bring our Game 3 game both nights. We will win going away.

Any comparison to where they sit now compared to where they were heading into game three? What is the biggest challenge - mental/emotional bounce back or the strategic challenge of the Blues? Is there a matchup war going on? Are there more minor tweaks (lineup changes) coming? Drawing on past experience to help with the present circumstances. Did the Jets change the way they played when the game was tied at 2? On how the Jets will react to being a desperate team. On the officiating. What hindered the Jets power play? Did he figure out how Hayes pulled that puck out of the net? Does Blake Wheeler need to shoot more?

Ehlers Update from coach: "He feels good today. I'll list him as probable. He won't skate today, we probably won't put him out for the morning, but he feels good."

someone mentioned in another thread the jets have the nhl record for most blown 2 goal leads in a season. if thats true maurice needs to be fired. unacceptable
