So weird. I knew Backstrom wouldn't play and any other season I would have expected a guaranteed loss. However, deep down I had a feeling all day that the Caps would win.

The line reminds me of so many good lines in playoffs past on teams. I'm thinking back to the 2002 Canes with Cole etc.

Good for Trotz. The Penguins looked like the Capitals in last year's game 7 most of the night. Ovechkin to Kuznetsov obviously awesome...never mind Crosby the playoff choker turning the puck over. At first I thought Ovechkin was the one who'd picked off the pass, but still great.

Also, Walker is way better than Gersich right now. That switch seems like such an obvious move now, but I'd basically forgotten Walker existed.
