No Smith let's see what happens.

Rittich is great in 6 and terrible in 2 of the last 8 games.

Please win, I'll be in Van for the game after, can't wait my one game per year.

My Orr jersey has done well recently, go Bruins. Whoooooooooooo!

Bruins honoring 77-78 team tonight.

As the season started to wind down, there was some talk started about that record. We went into Toronto for our second-to-last game before the Stanley Cup Playoffs and (rookie forward) Bobby Miller had 19 goals. For us to establish that record, he needed to score. I don't think he received all season as many passes as he did that game (Miller scored his 20th at 19:54 of the third period in a 3-1 win). We were aware of it. Don [Cherry] was giving Bob extra ice time and when he was out there; we were all telling him, 'Just stand in front of the net, we'll get the puck to you.'

Any idea what the lines are tonight? Also, is Heinen off both waves of powerplay now?

Looking forward to this one. I was watching that 77/78 team. It will be fun to see them.

I will have to tell Dobby how much I appreciated his last game .

I know Dougie will get booooos but not by me. He didn't want to play here...he is gone. Don't miss him.

HERE WE GO BRUINS...HERE WE GO :clap:

On one hand I want Rask to have a huge game and get redemption for how the team let him down against Buffalo. On the other hand I want us to establish dominant possession again so that he doesn't even have to play a great game to win. Might catch the first period, especially since Calgary is typically a fun team to watch and it's hard to catch mountain/pacific road games that start at 3:00-4:30 AM for me.

Bruins win and Tampa loss would be ideal. Bracing myself for the opposite.

Yeah, I know. :)
Meant that with these teams we only face twice a year, one of them being nigh-impossible to watch for me, one has to strike while the iron is hot (i.e. home games) - at least with the worthwhile teams (no offence to the Coyotes, etc).

What we really need is to clean things up defensively and get back to the things that made us successful. It seems like we are a little loose and we need to tighten things up.

We need our top line to get back on the board as well. It would be nice to see Marchand or Patsa get one tonight.

Will video of the ceremony to honor the 77-78 team be online later (for those of us, like me, who may not be able to watch tonight)?

The Boston Bruins announced that the organization will honor the 40th anniversary of the 1977-78 Bruins team which had a NHL record-holding 11 20-goal scorers on February 13 prior to the Bruins game against the Calgary Flames. The players will be joined by coach Don Cherryfor a ceremonial puck drop prior to the game, and there will be other elements throughout the game which will honor the team.
The 1977-78 Boston Bruins are the only team in NHL history to feature 11 different 20-goal scorers in the same season. Peter McNab (41), Terry O'Reilly (29), Bobby Schmautz (27), Stan Jonathan (27), Jean Ratelle (25), Rick Middleton (25), Wayne Cashman (24), Gregg Sheppard (23), Brad Park (22), Don Marcotte (20) and Bob Miller (20) each reached or surpassed the 20-goal mark to help lead the team to an appearance in the Stanley Cup Final. The previous record for 20-goal scorers in a season was 10, a feat that was accomplished by three teams: 1970-71 Boston Bruins, 1974-75 Montreal Canadiens, 1980-81 St. Louis Blues.

Saw the Flames live Friday night at MSG.... For those of you going, keep an eye on Lomberg, Hathaway. Ferland and Tkachuk behind the play, after whistles and during commercial breaks. Bunch of rats. I bet they won't be as chippy or talkative vs a team that can kick their teeth in. Has the potential to be the nastiest game of the season.

Hopefully they play some better defence, man last couple games have been terrible, actually even the first part of Wings game.I guess the impressive thing is they won two of them. But definitely need to clean it up in their own end.

Agreed . I have watched a lot of flames games too and they are just the type of team with fast wingers that gives us trouble. They take a ton of penalties but they get away with a lot of crap too. If our power play is on tonight, we should be able to put a couple away . Tkachuck is one of the most irritating players I have seen in a long time but a hell of a talent. Reminds me of somebody else we know.
Burn them !!

Have caught exactly one Flames game this season and it was early and they stunk but that isn`t the team they are icing these days. Back up goalie or not, B`s have to start on time tonight and I believe they will. This one will be tight, 3-1 with an empty netter for the good guys

I have seen like 35 plus flames games this year and can tell you right now if your going to beat them you need to play 60 mins. They will not quit .They have a very active defence and Bruins forwards better pay attention.
