This doesn’t even make sense. That post isn’t commentary on the team, it’s just a statement of fact regarding the mathematics of the playoff race.

It makes perfect sense

If you scream horror ten times in a row, you lose credibility. Eventually you might get it right, but so what?

If one player is bad, that doesn't mean another bad player is good.
Absolutely but I rather see the guy who has more potential play and we’ve seen howden regress and regress. But the coach loves him so it is what it is

Really wanted to see the team make the playoffs this season.

Failing that, let’s at least stay in it long enough to make the last few games matter.

Go Rangers, go Sabres

Im torn about this game.

Its do or die, and I don’t think this team has the mentality to manage that (yet).

Just remembering the feeling after Canes molested us 3-0 in the play-ins after we being up 4-0 in regular season against them.

This is a Barry Trotz defensive-minded team that plays every minute of hockey like it was a SC game 7.

First team to score wins, I’m pretty sure we will get 2/4 points in these games against the fishsticks. But we need 4.

LGR.

4-2

There really can't be any caked in 'young, inexperienced' excuses for tonight. Our big boys have to show up--especially Strome and Panarin. Zibanejad has feasted on the weak in our division this season, games like tonight, these stars should be feeling the pressure, that they have something to prove because frankly they haven't stepped up in the real showdowns enough yet.

He’s not screaming horror. This team is operating with zero margin for error. If they lose the playoffs are done. That’s just the reality of the situation.

Obviously, but what's the point of saying it before every game? It gets tiresome. Should I respond Yeah on the 11th time or offer congratulations for batting .100 on an observation that finally came true?

Again.

Quinn said Gauthier keeps not doing what is asked of him. Every coach will sit a player who keeps doing the same wrong thing over and over.

The problem lies with the player, not the coach, as is usually the case.

Score the first goal tonight - give yourself a chance to win the game.
Don't score the first goal - the season is over.

This place is Etem’ing the heckin wat out of Gauthier
Because it's the same thing. The player is being sabotaged by the coach for reasons we don't understand.

The quality of Etem as a player was never the point. The point was that we traded an important player for Etem, had a vested interest in him succeeding, and the coach was like "lol nah."

Even if Etem ended up being a star, he gets the same results here because he never played.

People like to see players get a chance when worse players play every single game. That shouldn't be controversial.
