Not necessarily..somebody brought up Calgary..Don’t we have a winning record against them this season.

Plus,if your goalie gets red hot..who knows..
Also talking of Calgary how much will be left in the tank and injury to any important players.
That's same across board for most but truth is go on a run get the goaltending who knows what happens.

The difference between 11th and 16th isn’t a concern

Yea Barzal only fell to 16, be a shame to pick a guy like him up instead. Cam Fowler fell to 12, such a dumb thing to have a higher pick with more options lol.

the thing is each game is unique and you cannot take today's poor performance the Canucks and be confident it is an accurate representation of how they will play every game. There are many, many variables that factor each games performance which is why you nearly have to just take it game by game. There are games in which Canucks dominate top teams but lose and there are games where Canucks are dominated by bottom feeding teams and win. This isn't some sort of phenomenon either, this happens to every team in the league.

Pretty ugly first two periods followed by a strong third. Canucks need to be giving big stick taps to Markstrom for getting them through this win.

Other than Markstrom, didn’t really feel anyone had a consistently good evening. Hard to complain with Pettersson’s return - insane that despite looking rusty and needing to get back up to speed, he still had a goal and an assist. Unreal.

Nice to see Horvat bust his slump, too - and with Virtanen getting an assist, that’s all three of them plus Boeser busting slumps in the last two games. Hopefully it’s a sign they’ll all get hot.

Sutter has been outright awful since his return from injury. IMO, Jay Beagle has done the bulk of the defensive heavy lifting for the last while.

Thought Edler, Tanev and Hutton were OK tonight, the other three defense men not so much.

I could see the Canucks putting a scare into Calgary. One of those evergreen regional rivalries that tends to bring out the best in the Canucks.

We'd still lose though, because we stink. But we'd give em a good frightnin'!

Lucky to escape with 2 pts in this one, having Markstrom playing like this is the reason the Canucks are in the playoff race.
Good
Markstrom, another great performance.
Horvat, had chances to score more, as always does a lot of defensive work.
Motte- skated the whole game, his line with Eriksson and Beagle was probably the best line for the Canucks tonight.
Bad
Sutter- probably the worst player on the Canucks today, his line was crap.
Baertshi- Invisible,
Granlund-I dont think he won one puck battle the entire game. Got a chance in top six and played like ass, can we please just scratch him, hell Ill dress Shaller over him.
Others:
Pettersson had an off game probably a bit rusty.

Looking back at the early 2000s, that team started with a steam rolling at the hands of the Avalanche. All part of developing from
a basement dweller into a good team.

Not sure we are there yet, but I’m sure it will be a step along the path at some point.

It absolutely is. Goal is to get the highest pick possible. Or do you honestly think the Canucks will be able to win a single game in the playoffs?

1989 Canucks vs Flames, 40-point gap in the standings, Flames were the top team in the regular season and beat the second best team (Habs) in the finals to win the Cup. Needed OT of Game 7 to knock off Canucks in the first round.
