you are right. the work ethic lacks significantly. Schmaltz and to a lesser degree, Keller, play a lot of lazy without the puck hockey. Until Keller gets over this , if he does, he isnt an all star on most teams.
I don't think Keller plays lazy, at all. Keller plays on a team who has a lack of talent, and where he is the only star. He is almost a pt. per game, a star on any team. His D is very under rated, same as Schmaltz. I think Bear has all our forwards playing pretty good D. I sure don't see a lack of hustle of any forward, on most nights anyway.

I think this was the first time Bear was trying to blow smoke up our ass.
I think Bear knows what these guys are going through and has empathy. Did you see the RT interview where he praised Keller and Schmaltz for keeping this team together, with all the distractions? Yeah, we're down a lot of players and that has an impact, but despite the denial in F40, the future of the organization in the desert is becoming tenuous...... more so than ever.

i think you are dead wrong jakey. how many goals did the yotes give up in the last 3? how many did they score? have you been to games? i have, for the last 3 yrs. Keller and Schmaltz skate when they have the puck, or sniff a chance, but otherwise…..

Steve Peters broke down how the last minute collapse went down.

This was a really good break down. I like the attention on the Kesselring icing. These are important details. He was correct on the Guenther things too and I love the guy and great experience but, if it is about points, kinda wondering why he would be on the ice in the last min of regulation.

Keller is average on D, Schmaltz is above average, which is why he can play C to some degree. We are missing 2 top 4 D, and a 1C/2C on D. We can score points but we can't defend. When Hayton comes back, we will be much better on D, he can fill one of those holes. We can't expect Cooley to be good enough on D to take the 1C or 2C spot. On D, I don't know what the answer is, its a long road to develop D.

Despite the flack he takes here (for water odd reason), Petey knows his shit.
Bear has made it pretty clear, it’s about development.

I wasn't aware of Petey flack. I like his Puck Talks. It is the type of material that belongs in pre games, intermissions & post games. It would be okay to make an effort to educate hockey fans about hockey.

If you do a Youtube search on Jody Jackson you will get a thing about a Mobile Tour, a bio where she talks about yoga, karaoke, & her favorite candy, a D-Backs thing where she eats a hamburger...you get the idea. This is who she is on Coyotes broadcasts...fluff.

Walsh does his interview thing and Nash can best be summed up with his pillow talks.

Unless it has changed recently, no one does analysis on Coyotes broadcasts and they will have arrived when they start making the broadcasts about hockey. Petey is the closest thing the Coyotes have to someone doing something on actual hockey.

He hit the nail on the head.

I agree, but you don't put out Guenther the last minute of a game when you need all the pts. you can get. Maybe Bear was thinking we could win it, but that takes a shot on net, which we didn't do all period.

See...I don't mind putting a player like Guenther out there, because he was one of the very few who was generating offense and although he's not a great defensive player, he has been put on the PK several times, so he's not terrible defensively, and the risk was good in my opinion.

Either way, Carolina deserved to win the game and they did...Coyotes should take the break to heart and 'recharge' for the playoff push as it's going to be extremely difficult given our schedule.

I was in Durham to catch this game. The Canes are very talented, fast, and shoot from all angles looking for a scrum at the goal mouth. That game winner was an ungodly good shot. Ingram didn’t stand a chance. Otherwise we totally frustrated the Canes for 59 1/2 minutes.

We need shots from the D. We need a face off specialist or two in the worst way. Is Yannick around? The Canes possession time was driven by their success at the face off circle.

Someone brought a European style Great Dane to the game. I’d only seen them in photos. Check out the Rottweiler-esque head shape
