I'm perfectly fine with the lines and pairings at this point, glad Quinn made the moves he did with the forwards.

Could I shuffle a couple things around more? Yeah sure.

Will I? No, because I'll be surprised this all lasts past the end of the first.

Agree, plenty of good stuff from the coaching staff tonight that fans have been asking for. Why not focus on that?

Totally agree, I just hope Quinn doesn't panic at the first sign of a line experiencing some adversity. Give them a chance to play through it.

I'm really looking forward to tonight, more than previous games.

Laf - show some gumption in your play if you want to stay (on that line)

Are you purposely ignoring that Trouba - Miller pair worked? Now that Trouba is gone there’s only one pair that can reasonably expected to carry any weight and your post suggested breaking them up. So again what would you propose?
Did that pair work?

It works in the sense that they're not a disaster but I wouldn't say they're a particularly good pair at all. They're just ok. I've wanted to flip Miller and Lindgren for months.

As for what I propose in this game, I would absolutely take my two best defensemen (by far) and put them on different pairs instead of playing an entire bottom 4 where 21YO K'Andre Miller is the best player by leaps and bounds. That's slightly more than half the game you're gonna be getting destroyed.

This seems like a cold take.

Alain Vigneault and the Flyers will out-adversity us.

Zac Jones looks like a Summer Camp counselor.... luckily not playing a heavy team

Half right? It's a start. Now put Kravtsov with Panarin.

I miss Jagr
What an amazing thing that that trade actually worked out so well
that trade was just heading for total disaster
NY Rangers acquire another super star who is just going to be a bust in NYC
bc thats what we were doing the last few years at the time
but Jagr broke the rule, he was the exception, and he was exceptional
Every single other super star besides Messier failed.

I would like this:

LAF - Zib -Buch
Bread - Strome -Kravtsov
Kreider - Chytil - Kakko
Barron - Blackwell - Gauthier

Lindgren - Fox
Miller - Smith
Jones - Hajek
Makes too much sense for the coach to do

Love the forward lines. Only change I would make is to swap Buch and Kakko. Kreider/Chytil/Buch has worked as a line before, and if Zib wants to be a leader on this team, let's see him rally it's future on his wings.
